Recently fully-renovated home with a commanding view of the lake across the back of the hone, a seasonal sandy beach w/ driftwood & dock for near year round access, and 2 common areas, one with indoor climbing wall & TV. A perfect retreat for relaxing with friends and family, swimming, fishing, enjoying the local activities, and just getting away from it all! Fully equipped kitchen with white Quartz & mahogany countertops. Note: AirBnB collects VA state tax & we pay an included county tax. A quiet place to for relaxation and fun that was just renovated in 2016. PARKING: There is easy parking for multiple cars. Stairs get you from parking to the front door. SLEEPING: There are four bedrooms (see photos). In addition, there is a full/double size sleeper sofa in the downstairs living room and a pack and play available for little children. BEACH: The beach is determined by lake level. In early spring there may be no beach at all. Lake levels of 303' or greater generally mean there is no beach and access to the dock will be difficult or not possible. By late summer/fall the beach can be large enough to walk on for miles into the nearby cove and to explore the rocks. Best is that in the heat of the summer the beach gets the morning sun but the shade soon takes over for some welcome relief. OUTDOORS: In addition to a deck with a fabulous view and access to the great room, under the deck is a terraced area with a flat, grassy area for play or a tent. There is an outdoor shower to clean off after fun on the beach. Lawn and dock maintenance crew members may be there during visit but should be fairly quick and unobtrusive as possible. GRILL - there is a grill for you use and a propane tank. However, we do not guarantee there will be propane in the tank. The tank can be refilled in town for a small fee if needed. TV/INTERNET/CELL: There is one TV in the downstairs living room with an HD antenna and DVD player. Some DVDs are available and places to rent are nearby. This is rural Virginia and cable/internet is limited so we've chosen not to have it. CELL providers like Verizon and AT&T have good reception and can be used as a mobile hotspot. TRASH: There is no trash pickup. Guests must transport trash to dumpsters. The house manual has the location of two options. NEARBY AMENITIES: The town of Clarksville, VA, the only town on the lake, is only a few minutes away. It has anything you'd need or want from groceries and pharmacy to boat rentals, restaurants (pick up or dine in) and boutique stores. Check the Chamber of Commerce to see if one of the festivals will be happening when you come to town. Self check in - we will provide you with the code for access the morning of your arrival. While most of the home is available to renters, we have locked off certain cabinets and closets to secure our personal items. The owners are available easily by phone or AirBnB text should you need any guidance or assistance. If in-person assistance is needed, we may either send a local friend/acquaintance or we may be there in about 2 hours. The house is on a quiet street with neighbors on both sides. The street is easy to walk though I suggest you be comfortable with the occasional neighbor dog coming up to say hello. Quiet nights are the norm. Sparklers and fireworks from the beach are also commonly seen.
