Water's Edge Escape on Ackley Lake

Charming 1940’s lakeside cottage is cozy, updated & bright! Fish, swim, kayak or paddle board in the spring fed waters of Lake Ackley. Our humble home has just enough room for you to steal away with those you love. Relax with two bedrooms and a sleeper sofa. Enjoy your morning coffee on the deck overlooking the lake, you may even catch a glimpse of a swan family or Blue Heron. Enjoy seasonal fruit farms, local wineries/breweries or explore nearby St. Joseph or South Haven! Water's Edge has a fully equipped kitchenette with a full size refrigerator/freezer, stove, counter top oven, microwave & coffee pot. Outdoor gas grill on the deck for your favorite barbecue. Pack light as towels & fresh linens will be provided. Pet friendly for an additional $50 fee. Explore Lake Ackley, a quiet 65 acre all sports lake in the included tandem kayak, pedal boat or paddle board. Enjoy your evening toasting s'mores over the fire table situated lakeside. You'll have full access to the living space. We keep the basement utility and storage areas locked. Keypad entry allows for flexible, easy check in/out. Our lake house is across the street so we'll often be around to help make your stay more enjoyable. We share the dock with you, but the cottage & deck are all yours to enjoy! We do occasionally access the basement and/or storage facility on the property, but neither has access to the main cottage. Paw Paw is a quaint town perfect for that weekend getaway approximately 2 hours from Chicago. Enjoy our favorite farm to table breakfast/lunch spot in town or a local coffee roaster. Enjoy music on the patio at St. Julian's or Warren wineries. In case of a rainy day Kalamazoo Air Zoo is a 20 minute drive. Enjoy a picnic lunch at nearby Maple Island or a bike ride along the Kal-Haven State Park trail. Relax with a round of Golf at Lake Cora Hills Golf Course (Website hidden by Airbnb) , Heritage Glen Golf Club (Website hidden by Airbnb) or Prairies Golf Club (Website hidden by Airbnb) While Paw Paw is a great get away place, a car is needed to get around the area.
