Summary: This 4th floor condo is located in the historic Thunderhead Lodge in the heart of Historical Government Camp, this condo provides you with accessibility to everything the mountain has to offer. Take in views of Mt Hood and Ski Bowl from the walk-around decks. Relax in the huge outdoor heated pool which is open year round! Enjoy the recreation room and shoot a game of pool! Best of all it is in walking distance to restaurants, bars, ski-shops, Ski Bowl, and a ton of cute little shops! This rustic getaway is furnished with brand new everything. ***If you are traveling with a Registered Service Animal the HOA requires us the hosts to register them with the HOA before arrival - if they are not pre-registered the HOA will fine us $250 which will be passed on to the guest (no other animals are allowed in the building)*** The Space: Beautiful views of Mt. Hood make this a stunning getaway for everyone, young or old. Year round activities draw in many different types of crowds, from the super athletic to those who enjoy a nice stroll and watching the kids play. This 4th floor condo is on the top floor no noise from upstairs renters! The 700 sq ft condo is completed updated and furnished with everything you could need for a comfortable stay! The kitchen has a full size fridge, stove and dishwasher. Small appliances include a coffee pot, microwave and toaster. The cupboards are well stocked with pots, pans, bakeware, dishes and utensils. The panty is stocked with coffee, coffee filters, tea, oil, vinegar, spices, salt and pepper, flour, sugar and various other pantry staples. Everything is for guests use. We have one locked storage space for storing back stock. There is a small kitchen table with 4 chairs and 2 bar stools under the kitchen overhang gives you comfortable seating to enjoy a meal for 6 guests. The bedroom has a comfy queen size bed complete with linens, pillows, and extra blankets. You will find a dresser and large closet as well. Opposite of the kitchen in a nook like space you will find a bunk bed with a full bed on bottom and twin on top. There is not a door therefore the bunk bed is considered to be a part of the common space. You will also find a queen size air mattress, porta crib, a couch that folds flat into a full size futon and all the linens needed for the additional beds. The bathroom is supplied with plenty of towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, hair dryer and a first aid kit. We also supply toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies, board games, DVD player, DVDs, and a 55” Smart TV. The pool is open as of 3/18/21, and the rec room and laundry room have reopened as of 6/30/21. ***If you are traveling with a Registered Service Animal the HOA requires us the hosts to register them with the HOA before arrival - if they are not pre-registered the HOA will fine us $250 which will be passed on to the guest (no other animals are allowed in the building)*** Guest Access: Besides the condo, you will have access to all of the amenities Thunderhead Lodge has to offer, including an open all year heated outdoor pool, rec room complete with a pool table and a Foosball table, perfect for an indoor weather day. The Neighborhood: Some of the summer activities in the area include kayak rentals, white water rafting, mountain biking trails, mini golf, summer tubing, horse back riding, kiddie play zones, restaurants, bars and shopping. Winter activities include skiing, tubing, snowshoeing, kayaking and horseback riding. Getting Around: Ski bowl, restaurants, bars and shops are in walking distance including a small grocery store. There is some public transportation on the mountain taking you from Portland to Government Camp all the way up to Timberland. If interested checkout Mt Hood Express for times and pick up locations. Other Things to Note: The condo is on the top floor and there is not an elevator, you will have to climb up 3 flights of stairs. We do not have cable but we have a DVD player with a selection of DVDs and internet TV already set up with Netflix! We only own 2 units in the building so if you have any issues with the common areas please let us know and we will do our best to get the HOA to fix it. *The Rec Room and laundry room have reopened as of 6/30/21 and the pool has been reopened since 3/18/2021* The condo is on the third floor and there is not an elevator, you will have to climb up 3 flights of stairs. ***If you are traveling with a Registered Service Animal the HOA requires us the hosts to register them with the HOA before arrival - if they are not pre-registered the HOA will fine us $250 which will be passed on to the guest (no other animals are allowed in the building)*** Interaction with Guests: There is a keypad to allow you access to the home and we will give you your privacy but we are available if you need anything. Most of the staff is located in Portland but usually someone is up on the mountain every day between 11am and 3pm.
