Situated on a landscaped acre overlooking a vineyard, within walking/driving distance of Bear Creek Wine Trail, 10 minutes to downtown Ashland & 10 minutes to downtown Medford, this comfortable studio is uniquely situated for leisure & activity. Follow us @le_jardin_familial and @lejardinfamilialor Your studio contains its own 3/4 bathroom and a fully-functional kitchenette with basic cooking appliances (mini refrigerator, a browning microwave oven, toaster, electric kettle, electric burner, and induction burner). A shared laundry room is conveniently located behind the building. Our little acre is an oasis from city life yet minutes to everywhere...though once you’re here you might find it hard to leave! As a guest you are welcome to wander the property, walk the labyrinth, sit overlooking the waterfall, say hi to the Koi and cool off in the new swim spa. We are outdoor “green,” 420-friendly and smoking is permitted in our parking area. We are also LBGTQIA-friendly. You have access to the hot tub, swim spa (pool), steam room, labyrinth, outside dining, BBQ (with permission), attached laundry room, and Koi pond. We do love to interact with--and learn more about--our guests. And since we live on the property we are fairly available as needed and will likely run into each other. We are in a rural area with few homes and lots of farmed acreage around. Adjacent to our property on two sides are the vineyards of Pebblestone Cellars. We are in a valley between the Cascades, Siskyous, and Pacific Coast ranges which give us moderate, Mediterranean-style climate, many sunny days, and beautiful views. Because we are rural we have limited public transportation although the closest bus line is about a mile's walk. We also have access to Uber and Lyft drivers. This is a family compound with multiple living/staying situations. We are home to 3 adults (my husband, grown son. Our daughter, son-in-law, their baby, and our full-time handyman also live on the property. Our menagerie consists of a friendly little old dog named Skipper and one uber-friendly large dog named Buster (who may expect you to be his personal playmate)--both of whom are indoor/outdoor dogs; a shy cat named Olivet, two friendly ones named Archibald and Dahlia, and an ornery one named Truffle--all of whom are indoor/outdoor cats; and 4 chickens who are free range during the day, so if you do bring your dog please be aware of all these animals. And please let us know if any of them bother you! COVID-19 Information: As of August 2021 Oregon state again requires the use of face masks on everyone over the age of 5--vaccinated or not--when inside public spaces and outside when physical distancing of 6' is not an option. We ask guests to please wear masks where appropriate. Let us know if you need one. We also ask that if you can answer yes to 1 or more of the following that you refrain from booking our space: Have a fever, cough, or shortness of breath; Have returned from any travel outside the US in the last 14 days; Have a known exposure to someone diagnosed with COVID-19; or Have tested positive for COVID-19 or are waiting for test results. Finally, during the COVID-19 pandemic only registered guests are allowed on the property unless you have special permission. Thank you! OTHER: We are located in the Rogue Valley where the water has a higher than normal sulfur content. This is natural and safe—in fact we’re famous for our sulfur hot springs—but it does cause our tap water to have a slight sulfur smell. We do provide you with a Brita filter which helps a lot but you might want to bring your own water if your nose is super sensitive. Again, our water is tested regularly and is quite safe!
