Peaceful Vintage Getaway in Charming Upstate Town

The Garret on the Green is located in the heart of Clinton in a historic church built in 1821. Close to the shops on Park Row and steps away from the village green, it's an ideal location for a remote-work retreat, an upstate minibreak, or a visit to Hamilton College or Colgate. In the upstairs unit of a 2-unit house with a private entrance and keypad entry, enjoy a freshly renovated kitchen, living room, bedroom, and master bath complete with a soaking tub for unwinding at the end of your day! This is a newly renovated upstairs apartment in a 200-year-old former church. The Garret on the Green features a peaceful and quiet bedroom, a large private living room with beautiful hardwood floors and a dining area, a sleeping nook with a desk, retractable Murphy bed, and cozy window seat, and a kitchenette complete with stove, oven, sink, microwave, and cooking staples. Guests have the entire second floor apartment to themselves, including a kitchenette and master bathroom. Guests are also welcome to use the backyard fire pit, which is kept stocked with firewood. We provide a unique keyless entry code for easy check in. We live in the downstairs unit of this 2-unit building. We provide a door code and keypad entry for check-in so our guests can have privacy and come and go as they please— but we are always only a quick call or text away if you need anything during your stay! We are located in the most walkable area of the village of Clinton, a quaint college town in the scenic Mohawk Valley. A coffeeshop, gelato shop, farm-to-table restaurant, natural foods store, and many local favorites are all a short walk across the village green from the apartment. Email us before your stay if you want to know what’s going on in the area during your trip, need a recommendation for a great restaurant, or are looking for the best hiking, skiing, and kayaking spots to enjoy the great outdoors. Clinton is a quaint college town, and the Garret is steps away from our village green, coffee shop, restaurants, health food store, gelato shop, and more. While The Garret is located in a walkable area, some amenities (like a large grocery store, hiking trails, and the lakes of the nearby North Country) are more easily accessed by car. If you plan to spend much time outdoors or exploring during your stay, you may want to consider bringing a vehicle. There are two free guest parking spots on the premises. Please note: Our TV setup is a ROKU smart TV, and does not include a cable package. Guests can easily log into their streaming accounts directly from the ROKU, or beam to the smart TV from their personal laptop.
