Room in a residential home on a wooded private road with 305' of waterfront surrounded by Land Trust acreage (lots of birds). Only 10 miles off I-95! Stay one night or longer - great views, quiet place. You have your own entrance to the bedroom off a small deck. Queen bed, a loveseat, Fire TV, & fast reliable wifi. No pets, no smoking inside. SUMMER: Swimming, fishing, walking trails. AUTUMN: Beautiful colors, walking on private wooded road & on Land Trust trails. Prime leaf peeping season is the second week of October. WINTER : Ice fishing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling and winter hiking. You can ice fish within 40 feet of the front yard or walk across the ice to a nearby island. SPRING: Watch the forest come back to life! Land Trust trails nearby for walking or mountain biking. The kitchen and bathroom will be shared with homeowner. Washer & dryer available. You are welcome to cook and use all dishes etc. Plenty of parking on circular driveway. You can be as social or as private as you like as far as interactions with us. We are open and friendly but also mindful of your privacy. We are on a private dead end road so there is very little traffic. Close to UMO, Bangor Int'l Airport, Hirudo Wildlife Preserve, Hidden Meadows Golf Club, Bangor City Forest and the famous Orono Bog Walk, Governor's Restaurant, Hannaford Grocery Stores, Sam's Club, Walmart, Waterfront Concerts, Hollywood Casino... No public transportation. It will take longer to get here than you anticipate. Country miles seem longer than city miles. The house is on a well maintained dirt road. The nearest large grocery store/pharmacy is 14 miles away (25 mins). There is a little country store with gas pumps about 5 miles away (10 mins). The small store offers a small pizza/sandwich shop and minimal groceries. The nearest movie theater is 15 miles and the Bangor mall is 20 miles (30 mins). Bangor international Airport is 25 miles (30 mins).
