Florence Cottage

Sweet, simple, two bedroom cottage in the village of Florence in Northampton. 5 minute drive to Smith College and downtown Northampton. 15 minute walk to Florence center restaurants, grocery and bike rental. Cozy, clean space with huge, private fenced yard, and lovely back deck. Perfect for families-books, games, puzzles, toys for kids. Fire pit, picnic table and access to hiking trails. We're happy to accommodate long-term stays and look forward to welcoming you! Florence cottage is a small house built c. 1875. The cottage is 1350 square feet. Five rooms on first floor include full bath, eat-in kitchen, two sitting rooms and bedroom. Queen bed in first-floor bedroom and large, open floor plan bedroom on the second floor with a skylight, king bed with brand new mattress and one, twin sized bed. Air conditioners in both bedrooms and in the main part of the house. Full kitchen with a gas stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, tea kettle and Keurig machine. Plenty of pots, pans, baking dishes and cooking utensils in very well appointed kitchen. Games, books and DVDs for you to enjoy. Streaming blue ray player. Gas grill available upon request in season. Enjoy a backyard campfire in the large, wooded yard. Access to hiking trails on conservation land is less than 100 yards up the road. Ample parking in newly surfaced driveway for several vehicles. Guests have access to the entire house. I live directly across the street and am available to help with questions, recommendations or anything else you need to make your stay pleasant. Florence cottage is on a main, residential street minutes from Florence Center. The road gets moderate traffic during the morning and evening commute hours but is very quiet at night. It is an easy walk to Florence center (10-15 minutes) restaurants, coffee shops, grocery, Look Park (30 min walk) and the bike trail. Valley Bike rental available in Florence and downtown Northampton. Electric assist bikes with drop off locations around the Valley. 5 minute drive to downtown Northampton. Enjoy music, museums, shopping and a fabulous selection of restaurants! PVTA bus stops near the house.
