Most destinations within 10-30 minute easy commute by freeway or city streets. Attractive split-level duplex with full bathroom and 3 bedrooms upstairs (2 king beds and 1 queen bed, mini-crib for infants & Pack 'N Play for toddlers), XL Twin portable air bed option in downstairs living area. Kitchen, living room, laundry and powder room downstairs. Stylish comfortable furnishings, well equipped kitchen, HD TV’s (Directv) in living room and in each bedroom, Smart Blu-Ray Player, complimentary secure high speed Wi-Fi, 3 convertible work/study console desks, luxury beds and quality linens (each bedroom has keyed door locks for complete privacy). Central heat & air conditioning, ceiling fans in each bedroom, filtered water, full size appliances, washer & dryer. Although children are welcome, the unfenced yard and house are not “child-proof” (e.g., open stairways, no safety latches on cabinet doors). This is a private residence with no daily maid service but prior to guest arrival, enhanced cleaning and sanitizing practices have been applied. (Cleaning rate includes initial linen & towel set-up, restocking kitchen, laundry & bathroom supplies.) Longer term stays, requiring additional cleaning and linen/towel set-up, incur additional fees. Deposits on the reservation are not charged unless a claim is made for damages by a guest within 14 days from check-out date. Rates and fees are subject to change (e.g., longer minimum stays; or premium/higher rates for major events, holidays, seasonal). The main entry into the foyer is shared with host/owner who lives on the premises, in the adjacent duplex. However, each side of the duplex is completely separate with its own entry from the front foyer. When someone is not available at check-in, guest residents will receive an access code for the front door and instructions will be left in the foyer. Please notify host/owner if delayed, requiring a later check-in, or for an earlier check-out. Parking on driveway (no overnight parking on the street permitted by the city). Beautifully landscaped private yard with elevated gardens, propane grill, comfortable seating, tables on front and rear patios and under pergola. All guest residents must be listed on the reservation and match their government issued photo ID or passport which must be presented at check-in. No guest residents/children under 18 years of age will be permitted to rent or occupy the premises unless accompanied and supervised by a parent or adult guardian at all times (be prepared to present supporting identification). Guest residents in excess of two will incur additional charges per person/night. Babies & children under 24 months of age, who don’t occupy beds and sleep in the portable mini-crib (infants) or Pack 'N Play (toddlers), stay free of charge (subject to manufacturer's weight restrictions to occupy toddler or infant beds) . Guest residents are not permitted to sublet any part of a booking. A visitor who is invited to stay during the course of a booking must obtain advance approval from host/owner and meet all reservation criteria, including additional charges, fees and ID requirements. Admission to property is granted only to those guest residents and their visitors who release host/owner from any and all claims of liability due to illness, injury, death and/or loss. Use of premises is “at your own risk”. By accepting the terms of this reservation, it is agreed that all guest residents and their invited visitors are expressly assuming the risk of any harm, injury, death or loss arising from the their use of the premises, its contents or amenities. I am semi-retired so we will see one another in passing in the foyer, in the yard or gardens. Family members assist with maintenance and rental information, so in my absence someone is available by phone or email to answer questions. Privacy of guest residents is respected so interaction is minimal, unless you have a request or wish to visit in the shared areas on the premises. Minnehaha Falls is beautiful in summer and especially when frozen in wintertime. Many of our parks have seasonal casual dining establishments on their grounds. An hour’s drive to St. Cloud is a worthwhile day trip to tour the beautiful Munsinger / Clemens Gardens. HISTORIC/LANDMARK EDIFICES: Minneapolis and St. Paul have many historic and noteworthy buildings and mansions which offer tours and host special events open to the public, including Ft. Snelling, our State Capitol, the Governor’s Mansion and the historic Wabasha Street Caves. The James J. Hill mansion hosts signature events, concerts and theme tours throughout the year (Christmas is an especially festive time with guides in period costumes). The great diversity of cultures in Minnesota has created a community of many religions and places of worship. Many are open to people of all faiths and some provide tours. (Be respectful of those who do not admit or have areas closed to the public.). Architecturally significant and historic centers of worship include: Westminster Presbyterian Church (listed on the National Register of Historic Places), Temple Israel, St. Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral, St. Mary’s Greek Orthodox Church, Basilica of St. Mary, Central Lutheran Church, Hennepin Avenue United Methodist, tiny Our Lady of Lourdes (the oldest church in continuous use in Minneapolis), the Cathedral of St. Paul, St. Mary’s Orthodox Cathedral, St. Louis King of France, Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Chapel of St. Thomas Aquinas, Hindu Temple of Minnesota.
