The Yates Cottage

Welcome to the beauty and nature of Core Sound! The Yates Cottage is directly on the water and is designed for spectacular views of Core Sound and Cape Lookout Lighthouse with large windows on 3 sides. Other amenities are a large screen porch, 4 bicycles, and a large yard for lawn games. The Yates cottage is great for couples, families, joggers, walkers, bikers, fisherman and boaters. You will be welcomed with freshly-made beds, towels and a full kitchen with Keurig and Rachel Ray cookware. You simply won't find a better view of or access to Core Sound. The Marshallberg boat ramp is just around the corner. We also offer free access to four bicycles for riding around town and to the Korner general store! The entire house. Pets are welcome but we require a non-refundable fee of $150 for up to three well-behaved and potty-trained dogs or cats. This is a set fee regardless of number of nights reserved. Sometimes we are in the house next door but we don't live in Marshallberg full time. It is very quiet with mostly year-round residents. There is plenty of parking on the property. And room for boats and trailers too. There’s a general store about a 10 minute walk from the cottage.There is a fully equipped family owned grocery store 3 miles from the cottage and a Dollar General store 5 miles from the cottage. Please bring your beach towels, soap, and shampoo. One set of bath towels are provided per person.
