Our guest cottage sits next to the main house making the only guests the ones renting the cottage . There are several fenced and very quiet acres to roam. Shoot some hoops on the sport court, bike around an easy two mile loop or just relax in the cottage while your laundry dries. The high quality queen and double beds are cloaked with 100% cotton and linen. The walk-in travertine shower and fully equipped kitchen are available so we can help our guests to be as comfortable as possible. The property is gated so text when you arrive. Our family of 3 will be home in the main house most of the time. The guest cottage also has a long down-filled sofa and an inflatable queen mattress for added sleeping potential. The herb and vegetable garden are always available and the orchard trees just may have fruit depending on your stay. We invite our guests to utilize the entire property! Garden walks, country views, or an herb garden are always a few steps from your door We live close by and are available as needed during your stay. Situated exactly between Scappoose and St. Helens Oregon makes us uniquely located for quick trips to all needed amenities like grocery and drug stores. Each small town has quaint shopping, accessible parks and hiking trails. Portland and Beaverton are both an easy :30 minute drive and offer endless shopping and recreation opportunities. Mt. St. Helens is an hour drive away as well. We are located in an area where everyone has a minimum of 2 acres. The area is pretty rural, making our rental country-living quiet. A two mile country road loop is easily walked or run. We can direct you to a Hindu park and shrine that has beautiful walking and running trails as well as all religion shrines on site for a 10 minute drive from the house. There is a linear bike trail that goes from Scappoose to Vernonia which is an old railroad grade and a very pleasant 26 mile one way trip. We are also a 5 minute drive to the Columbia River and it’s access with room for RV and boat parking! Two barn cats may be seen wandering the grounds. On occasion a horse and rider will pass, or a tractor will roll by and sometimes you’ll hear a cow mooing or a coyote from afar. We really aren’t that far out of town!
