Escape your busy lives, or work remotely, and enjoy a getaway vacation without crowds on our private beach. We take the COVID-19 pandemic seriously and provide a thorough cleaning/sanitizing of the home. Stunning views from this three bedroom, two bathroom home located on St. Jerome's Creek. "Mark's Beach House" offers over 2000 sq. ft. of second level living space with incredible water views from every window. A very relaxing & peaceful place! Whether you are here on business with PAX River NAS, attending a wedding, or visiting the St. Mary's College Campus, this home provides a tranquil environment to enjoy this historic and beautiful area. Guests can explore the Western Shore and its rich history by visiting St. Mary's City & Point Lookout State Park, located less than 10 miles away. The house is built on waterfront property that has been passed down for three generations. Built in 2011, this home features hardwood floors, granite countertops, and a vaulted ceiling in the large living room. A large second story deck spans the length of the house and is a perfect place to relax and enjoy an elevated view of St. Jerome's Creek. Bird watching is exceptional! Frequently visible from the deck are geese, ducks, a blue heron, osprey's, seagulls, and occasionally bald eagles. We provide binoculars for guests’ use. Cable WIFI is now available with speeds of over 40 mbps. Roku devices are installed on both televisions and allow guests to log in to their personal streaming accounts such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, etc. Satellite TV service is provided and viewable on a large flat-screen TV. Our kitchen is fully equipped with everything you may need for cooking a home meal. You can prepare your morning coffee using our Keurig machine with K-cups provided complimentary or use our drip coffee maker. An outdoor picnic table and the use of a propane grill are also available complimentary to our guests. Please observe quiet hours between 11 p.m. - 7 a.m. Due to a family member having a severe allergy. We have a STRICT no pet policy. Guests are limited to 3 parking spaces. If additional parking is needed, please inquire prior to booking as space is limited. Liability Waiver: You understand that swimming, hiking, and the use of the canoe are at your own risk and that special risks may be involved with swimming, dock use, and using the canoe. You accept full responsibility for any bodily injury arising from swimming, dock use, and use of the canoe and hold the owner harmless. You understand there are potential dangers that swimming, dock use, and the use of the canoe may present to children who are not carefully supervised, as well as the danger to any person swimming, using the dock or canoe if a person has health risks, or if a person is intoxicated or using any kind of drugs or medication, or while pregnant. You agree to be fully and solely responsible for any accidents you may incur. You understand the risks discussed above and agree that you will assume all responsibility for yourself and for the consequences of those in your party. You agree to waive any claim whatsoever against the owner for accidents or claims arising from swimming, dock use, or using the canoe. All Airbnb Guests in my party acknowledge and agree that they have read and understand this waiver and they acknowledge that confirming below constitutes a binding and enforceable contract between Airbnb Guests and Airbnb Host. For an additional $100 fee, dock your boat on our private pier. Enjoy fishing on the bay or take a walk down to our family-owned beach and watch the sun set! Only steps away, the beach can be accessed directly across the street using our private walk bridge. Feel like roasting marshmallows? Guests can relax and spend the evenings around the beach fire pit which includes homemade benches. Complimentary to our guests is a 3-person canoe available for creek use. We provide life jackets and encourage our guests to review the Safety Binder located inside the home. Guests must use it at their own risk. Please review the list of amenities provided when booking our home. Guest have full access to the entire second level of the home. The first level has a long-term tenant, who is a part of our vacation rental team. This is used for safety measures. * FAQ’s • How private is the beach? Answer: As you can view in our pictures, we have a private cross bridge for our guests to access the beach. The area where the fire pit is built is private and available for guest’s use. A short step down is where guests access the sandy beach. The beach is mostly private with the occasional neighbor taking a stroll. The beach area is large enough for all parties to maintain a proper social distance and interaction with neighbors is limited to a wave or simple greeting. • Is the beach good for swimming? Answer: The sandy beach is great for swimming, building sandcastles or collecting seashells. In hot summer months (July/August) you may encounter jellyfish. We do not offer beach towels; guest should pack their own. We offer 4 reclining beach chairs and a beach wagon. What size are the life jackets provided? Answer: 3 Adult Life Jackets: 90 lbs or more/30-52 inches 1 Youth: weight 50 -90 lbs: size 26-39 inches 1 Child Life Jacket: weight 30-50 lbs. • What precautions are in place due to COVID-19? Answer: Our home is thoroughly cleaned and prepared for the incoming guests. • What interaction will I have with the downstairs apartment tenant? Answer: Our long-standing tenants respect our guests' privacy and have their own private space. Vacation rental guests have their own entrance to the upper living 2000 sq. foot home. Guests also have 3 designated parking spots. Also separate from the tenant is trash containers/grill/picnic table/canoe/large upper deck with patio table and chairs/rockers.
