The Cutest Little Adobe
Welcome to our home, tucked into one of the friendliest towns in the Southwest. Our charming 1930s adobe is filled with art, natural light, cozy vibes, & tons of character. Located in a quiet neighborhood, minutes away from downtown & the hot springs district, it is the sweetest little retreat to come back to after a day of hiking, gallery-hopping, or soaking in the healing waters of Truth or Consequences. As frequent travelers, it brings us joy to create a peaceful space for you to stay in. Our adobe was hand-built in the 1930s, shortly after Hot Springs, NM, was founded. For a house this old, it has been lovingly maintained by the previous owners (most of the floors are original, so that's definitely saying something). As its current caretakers, we are continuing the tradition of striking a balance between updating this historic home to make it more clean, comfortable & modern, while also keeping its quirky integrity intact. - The walls of our house are 11 inches thick. Perfect for keeping things peaceful & quiet inside. - Keep things nice & cozy with 3 energy efficient, whisper-quiet, heating & cooling Mitsubishi Mini-Splits. - A super-cute & colorful full kitchen (including a vintage stove) for you to cook & enjoy meals together. - The bed in the master bedroom is topped with ultra-comfy memory foam, providing the perfect launch pad to a great night's sleep. **Please note that the master bedroom has a black privacy curtain in place of a door. The second bedroom has a properly working door. See photos.** - Coffee & tea station, stocked with all you need for your caffeinated mornings or decaf evenings. - Accessible, high-speed internet throughout the home. - As music-lovers, we have a fully functioning record player & high-quality bluetooth speakers set up in the living room. Feel free to spin one of our vinyl or connect your phone to jam your own playlist. - A combo washer & steam dryer is available, in case you need to do laundry. - High-definition flat screen TV in the master bedroom, with complimentary access to YouTube, Netflix, Prime Video, HBO Now, & Disney +. -Serene, covered front porch (with a ceiling fan) overlooking our zeroscaped yard, with a fantastic view of Turtleback Mountain. - Two full, clean bathrooms equipped with EPA Watersense certified Toto toilets. The toilet in the master bathroom is equipped with a bidet (instructions provided to those who wish to be adventurous). - We are two blocks away from Bedroxx, a Flintstones-themed bowling alley (the BEST pizza in town) & Point Blanc winery (which also serves local beer). -All guests will be greeted with a welcome package consisting of snacks, sweets, & a bottle of wine made in New Mexico. Guests will have full access to the main home & front porch. Our backyard is a work-in-progress & is off-limits to guests at this time. :) We have a detached garage, but that is private. On our property there is a detached garage that we recently renovated into our shared home office & creative art studio. You may see us coming & going from the detached garage. We are all about giving our guests the space they need to relax & recharge, so unless you'd like to chat, we will be quiet & respectful. :) Since the two of us are frequent travelers, we may or may not be in town during your stay. However, we have a network of trusty friends & family who will be happy to assist you in any way during our absence. We are always a phone call or text away. We are located in a quiet neighborhood, a very short drive (or semi-short walk) from historic downtown & the hot springs district. We live right across from a historic cemetery, so those neighbors are especially subdued. A word to the superstitious, the two of us are sensitive to energy & have never felt any bad vibes from the cemetery; only peaceful ones. Our neighbor across the alley is friendly & has a super sweet yellow lab named Suzy (who can be vocal every now & then). From our house, it is less than a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk to the downtown hot springs district. There you can enjoy our local TorC brewery, as well as some of the best galleries, restaurants, & hot springs that our quaint little town has to offer. If something even closer is more enticing, we are a whopping two blocks away from the Bedroxx Bowling Alley & Point Blanc Winery. **Please note that the master bedroom has a black privacy curtain in place of a door. The second bedroom has a properly working door. See photos.**
