Enjoy the very best of old and new at this McKenzie Bridge home, a beautifully restored log cabin with a classic front porch, a sparkling interior, and a wonderful woodland location for exploring the nearby river, hot springs, and hiking trails. Originally built in 1909 and lovingly restored in 2016, the cabin's interior makes thoughtful use of natural wood, exposed brick, and pristine white walls. Prepare meals for a crowd with ease in the full kitchen, where you'll find stainless steel appliances (including a dishwasher), abundant cabinetry and counter space, and a large eat-in dining room table. Pass the morning hours outside on the porch, where you can read the newspaper in a rocking chair or use the free WiFi to plan your next hike. Grab your rods and tackle to spend the day fishing for rainbow trout or Chinook salmon; you'll come home to a private washer/dryer for your clothes, a pellet stove to warm your toes, and a flatscreen TV for movie nights in the plush living room. Come and discover the lush forest beauty of McKenzie Bridge - book your unforgettable stay in Lane County today! What's nearby: This two-level log cabin sits on a densely wooded property within Willamette National Forest, equidistant from Eugene (52 miles west) and Sisters (50 miles east). Wander one mile up the road to meet up with the McKenzie River Trail; spend your days fishing, kayaking, rafting, and swimming in the river itself; and indulge in daily soaks in the Belknap Hot Springs (six miles east) and the Cougar Hot Springs (13 miles southwest). Feel free to bring your own DVDs to enjoy, or rent some from the local Blue Sky Market! Things to know: Full kitchen with a dishwasher *Please note that WiFi is spotty due to the location of the property. There is also little to no cell service in the area Parking notes: You may park one car near the front door. Please park other cars in the space behind the house by the storage sheds. Driveways should be kept open at all times for access. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $2,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page.
