1 1/2 story apartment set up for 4 with a Queen bed , 2 twins but can accommodate 1 extra with a blow up. A country setting in a small village centrally located. A short drive to Saratoga Springs, Lake George, Albany, Southern Vermont and western Mass. Enjoy antiquing here in Grandma Moses territory. Enjoy activities such as trout fishing and tubing or canoeing on the Battenkill River. Of course skiing and tubing in winter. People here are friendly, respectful and open. 1 1/2 story apartment with cathedral ceiling and passive solar windows. The architectural design has a 2 story wall all windows for passive solar heat and space that gives an open and airy atmosphere. The downstairs is an open space set up for living room, dining room, breakfast area and food preparation area. The bathroom is downstairs and contains 2 sinks, toilet, bidet and a 2 seat Jacuzzi. The upstairs is a large L shaped space meant to have an oriental feel with privacy screens in both legs of the L. Provided is a Queen size bed at one leg and 2 twin beds in the other all with comfortable quality linens provided. There are 2 large dressers, closet, full length mirror, recliner and television upstairs. Completely separate apartment with private entrance. Plenty of parking space. There is an area to prepare meals which includes a refrigerator, microwave, toaster, ceramic grill and coffee maker. There is also a gas grill on the attached deck for cooking. All dining needs are provided: dishes, glassware, silverware, place-mats, dishtowels etc. Soaps, shampoos, bath supplies and plenty of towels are all provided. Air conditioning upstairs and down with remote control for temperature regulation. A fireplace /wood-stove to cuddle in front of with a friend or a good book. Wood is provided. Patio, grill, deck and fire pit for all season use. Beautiful views from the windows of the hills, the brook, and the meadows. Relax while watching the snow drift down onto the field while the deer and turkey cross to the woods. In warm weather sit and enjoy the yard and gardens while watching the variety of birds that come to the bird feeders and the bird houses. (lots of winter birds as well). Binoculars are provided to catch a close up look for birders. Everything is here for a great cookout. Or take a dip in the backyard brook. Kids have lots of fun in the yard with a swing set, sand box and tree house! WIFI is free and the TV has Roku with lots of available stations, movies and tv shows including Netflix. We are in a very private, quiet location that is still close to the activities available in the area. There are stores, shops and restaurants within the village. Enjoy the fun and events close by but still have a private place to just relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. The location is ideal for activities in the capital district, Saratoga Springs, the south western part of Vermont and Mass. Just on the border of NY and Vermont. Only 20 minutes from historic Bennington, VT and just down the road from the home and farm of Grandma Moses. July and August is track season at the Saratoga Race Track! Book early for the best prices. Visit the City of Saratoga Springs with its famous spas, healing waters and clubs. Go to the state capital of Albany or take a drive through the Green Mts. or Adirondacks for fabulous fall foliage. Special times are the Winter fest in Lake George and Christmas in Cambridge. See a show at one of the many theaters near by. Hubbard Hall, a restored opera house hosts many award winning plays in every season here in town. The Dorset playhouse and Proctors of Schenectady both offer quality entertainment. Enjoy Washington Counties history, covered bridges and the local arts. Very popular are the local micro breweries! Take a 'brew' tour and get a taste of the local area. Go to Manchester, Vermont for great shopping or Saratoga Springs, NY for the best night life. The space is available also for family gatherings or events. A separate, large deck and yard is available upon request for this purpose. Large free Parking area. Book early for the best rates! New Years special with special surprises! House keeping will be done every fourth day if requested. Extra towels and bath supplies as requested. We'll be happy to help if you need supplies or to answer questions. But we give guests their privacy. We're friendly but private. We are the only house at the end of a dead end street at the edge of a small village. Local stores, services and restaurants are in walking distance. The Village of Cambridge is really an art community full of creative people. Friendly and relaxed. You need transportation. No public transport until you get into Saratoga, Albany or Bennington, VT. Rental cars are available in Saratoga, Bennington, Glens Falls and Albany. There is a local cab service. Off street parking for the rental. There are 2 cats around on the property that are never allowed in the rental. We ask that you don't invite them in (because they might ask). There are a variety of birds that come to the bird feeders and bird houses as well as wildlife that can be seen frequently on the meadow and wooded area. We advise people to watch and wonder but not tamper with them.
