Secluded! Currently accepting groups no larger than 6. Come stay on Bluff Creek. The large screen porch invites you to listen to the birds, cicadas, and bullfrogs. Cook in the fully equipped kitchen or on the grill. BYO kayak and float in the creek. Launch your boat at the community launch and tie up on the floating dock. The cabin sleeps 6-8. Book a yoga class, massage, or a catered take&bake meal. Firewood is available for a $10 cash if you'd like to use the fire pit, or bring your own. Please know that there is no walk-in shower and that there are stairs to the creek. Guests are welcome to bring their own kayaks and canoes to launch off the dock. Outside your cabin may be a small pot of herbs, in season, and near the fire pit there may be some vegetables growing in pots. The large patio, the boat dock, the trails and the second firepit in the field are there for you to use. Make yourself at home. Very important: I have to be present to check you in. Please communicate well about your check in; this is not my full time job! I am on the property with my two dogs, Betty and Caddie. Twisted Run is on 15 acres. You will have plenty of privacy. If I am not on the premises, I am a quick drive away. Call if you need anything. The creek is one of your neighbors! Bring a fishing pole. Live bait is available in town. The area is semi-rural. I have no visible neighbors, but the people on the lane are friendly. The world famous barbecue joint, The Shed, is a ten minute drive. World class golf at The Preserve is ten minutes away. Horseback riding is ten minutes away. Pretty Ocean Springs is 25 minutes of easy driving. Under 30 minute drives to casinos, Sandhill Crane Refuge, Pascagoula River Audubon Center. Recent guests also enjoyed the alligator farm about 30 minutes away. You have to have a car to get here. Kayaks or canoes are welcome to explore the creek. If you'd like to bring your boat, talk to me. Everyone is asked to bring lifejackets if they plan on using their own boats in the creek. The cabin is on a septic system. I leave instructions on how to respect the septic! Another thing to know is that it gets very dark at night; I provide one flashlight, but bringing another is a good idea. Also, there is a gate to the property. I'll pass the code on at check-in.
