Converted Barn - Serene Escape on 12 acres

Escape to our recently renovated barn/guest house on a 12-acre property, 100 yards from the main house and 15min outside of Hudson. High ceilings and wood burning stove for a spacious yet cozy stay. Huge natural swimming pond w Bali inspired deck in a park like setting of rolling hills & colorful sugar maple trees. Fully equipped kitchen, memory foam mattress and all the amenities. In home Massage/Yoga available. XC ski from the house! 45min from downhill (Hunter & Catamount Mountains). The guest house is oriented away from the main house to provide privacy & the guests house has a 2 acre lawn all its own. The main floor has oversized glass doors overlooking a swimming pond, also referred to as a natural pool, and our 12 acre property, which is half wooded and half open. Upstairs there are two country-chic bedrooms (both queen beds) as well as a large open loft. The loft has a futon couch and a day bed, which can also be made into 2 twin beds upon request. The loft is perfect for yoga & meditation, as well as kids playroom. We strive for a super clean and comfortable space. We have memory foam mattresses and hypoallergenic bedding that we update often. The kitchen is small but has all you need in it and with all the farms nearby it’s so fun to cook and grill here. Outside there’s a grill and picnic table as well as lounge chairs in the summer season. We provide a pack n play, kids toys and a stair gate, which can be moved to the top or bottom of the spiral staircase. We have 2 kids ourselves and they love the loft area. But please note that the spiral staircase is vintage and does have about 12-16 inches between ballasts. The guest house is about 100 yards from our main house and we share the pond (natural pool) and hammock. You can see an arial shot of the property at the end of the photos. There's a collection of music instruments & the barn has a great collection of games - both indoor and outdoor. Guests share the 12 acre property (half wooded) with us and we share the pond for swimming/skating. We live in the main house, although if we are traveling we do rent out the main house. In case we are away, we have a caretaker who is able to help you as needed. We live in an amazing neighborhood of rolling hills and horse farms. It's a wonderful place to walk, bike or XC ski. We are just down the road from OMI international sculpture park and 15 minutes to Hudson & Chatham, and about a half hour from the Berkshires. The Hudson Amtrak is about 18 minutes away. Car is recommended. The spiral staircase is a bit steep with 12-18 inches between ballasts and is the only staircase in the house, so is not recommended for those with trouble on stairs. The only bathroom is downstairs, and 2 bedrooms plus sleeping loft are upstairs.
