The streets are well lit and the house happens to have two light poles nearby that provide ample visibility through the night. There's a shopping center across the street (walking distance) with lots of restaurants, grocery stores, Starbucks, Target, Chipotle, and lots more. Downtown Silver Spring is a few minutes away and the drive to DC is reasonable (about 20-25 minutes). The University of Maryland and the National Archives in College Park are 11-13 minutes from the house. The NIH is a 20-minute drive from the house. There's an assigned parking spot for guests and ample free street parking if you need it. Additionally, there is a bus stop right across the street from the house that goes directly to the Silver Spring metro station. The metro station is on the red line which goes toward Dupont Circle, Chinatown, and downtown DC. We are 30 minutes from Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI) by car, 39 minutes to Dulles Airport (IAD) by car, and 30 minutes to the Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA) by car. This house has been fully renovated which means you get to enjoy everything brand new!
