You will discover multiple lakes and rivers within short distances. Table Rock within 20 minutes, Beaver Lake within 30 minutes, Roaring River and White River within minutes. ADDITIONS COMING THIS SPRING *wifi *hot tub Cozy up to this two bedroom vaca-stay sitting just off Sugar Camp Scenic Byway on 30 acres of forest, with in a mile of Roaring River State Park, Mark Twain National Forest and close to Beaver Lake, Table Rock Lake and the White River. . . The nature Lovers kind of stay. You can Deer watch here, Bird watch (many come to this area for the Bald Eagles), witness all sorts of wild life. Just sit back and take it all in . . star gazing and siting around an open fire is a favorite of many who stay here. I personally love to watch the fireflies in the Spring time. . . . and in the Fall it's time to watch the trees turn all the variety of colors they do here in the Ozark Mountains. Cook out on the grill or in the fully supplied kitchen that opens up to the living area. Coffee is supplied as some cooking spices. If you are adventurous you can hike down to some wet weather springs on the property or just hiking along the ridge line on the paths is most relaxing. I personally love the extra large wrap around porch this place has, with a couple of wine barrels as tables and a few lounging chairs. The open fire pit is a must for those cool spring and fall evenings. There is a lot of nothing or a little of somethings you can do here. My parents built this little place back in the early '70's as a vacation get a away for us to spend holidays. So I have a lot of fond memories here and hope you create and make some for your selves as well during your stay. Every one is greeted by my two extremely friendly dogs that wins everyone's hearts. I also have two loving cats that roam the property but stay to themselves. Guests staying at the house, I call the Dogwood Cabin, have it to themselves with parking in the circle drive in front. Also there are two entrances onto the property, making a large circle drive around the whole property. Guests are free to roam the 30 acres respecting others privacy that might also be on the property, as I have Glamping Sites and other facilities I rent out to guests. I also live on the Property. . . All with plenty of privacy. I make myself available if needed or engaged, otherwise I leave you to enjoy your peace and solitude. I do live on the 30 acre property. This property has been in my family since the early 1970' (Website hidden by Airbnb) came here to live full time in 2015 to turn it into a lodging property. I have lived in the area off and on since I was a child so I can probably tell you almost anything you might want to know of the area, and am glad to if you ask. Basically growing up here I could probably tell you a story or two. To say the neighborhood is quiet, loud, noisy, busy, slow, tranquil etc. . . is subjective. This place sits on 30 acres of woods....the land and Cabin sits just off rural State highway 112 (also known as the Sugar Camp Scenic Byway) that goes into the State Park just a mile down the road from here... If you come in peak season expect lots of traffic sounds (noise?) on the State Roads. . . and if you are out side there are many sounds (noise?) nature makes . . . some of these things are peaceful for folks and some are unpleasant. So the uniqueness of this property and area are dependent on your EXPECTATIONS, comfort level, and Life EXPERIENCES. I once stayed on an island off Costa Ric (Website hidden by Airbnb) The most peaceful serene place one could be (besides at the bottom of the Grand Canyon, which I have been to also) BUT every morning around 4 am the Holler Monkeys swung through the Camp!! Talk about (Website hidden by Airbnb) just keep in mind there is always good and bad about a place and space one experiences. That is the key though right? The EXPERIENCE. I welcome you to my property to enjoy and hopefully experience it as I do and many others do. It is my pleasure to open my family homes and land to others to create their own fond memories. Who knows, it may just become a yearly tradition for you, as it has for many who stay here. As long as you have a car you can get anywhere you want to. Be ware of the check in times. If you need to make other arrangements beyond those hours of 3pm to 5pm I can be flexible at times, with an added service fee. I do have two very sweet and friendly dogs that live with me on this 30 acres, I do let them roam free as they are very well behaved and friendly. They will only impact your stay by loving on you if you allow them too. Every one falls in love with them. And since I am a pet friendly on my properties expect other guests to have dogs as well. Keep in mind even though this is in a rural area and in the country surrounded by woods it is also off of highway 112, so in peak season there will be many tourist in the area and traffic headed to the water ways and parks. CHECKOUT the House Rules and Manual before booking to make sure EXPECTATIONS are mutual and satisfactory. . .
