My home is situated in the middle of organic orchards and vineyards in the Similkameen River Valley of the Okanagan Region, close to the famous Okanagan Lakes to the East and the Ashnola Wilderness Cascades Area to the West. You’ll will love my place because it's so peaceful and natural. My home is good for couples and solo adventurers, especially those who like the outdoors and healthy environments. I have two mountain bikes and a canoe available for your enjoyment. 420 and gay friendly. Located in the most northern tip of the Sonora desert, just across the USA border in Canada, situated in the middle of organic orchards and vineyards, this lovely place is a true oasis of quiet and natural environments. Protected from the sometimes harsh weather of the west coast of British Columbia by the Cascade Mountains, hot and dry in the summer, cold and sunny in the winter. A wonderful place to relax and explore the mountains, forests and lakes of the Okanagan-Similkameen region. You will have a comfortable naturally cool basement room with a double bed, a desk and reading chair, dresser, satellite TV, video player, piped in satellite radio, WiFi. A private bathroom with Jacuzzi bathtub and a bidet on the main floor, the use of a sun room (solarium) with a fabulous view of the Similkameen Valley on the second floor. A solar heated swimming pool with shower and patio furniture, front garden with fish ponds. There are two mountain bikes and a canoe at your disposal. Sorry, no cooking, but hot beverages are OK (kettle and coffee machine available) as well as making breakfast cereals and sandwiches. I will leave you room in my fridge and freezer for your food stuff. You have the use of a toaster, a microwave oven and a bar-b-q which has a side burner. I have a 220 Volt outlet accommodating both European and UK plugs. Although I have worked a large part of my professional life outside of Canada, my home base has been here in Cawston for the past 37 years. I would be glad to advice you on any sightseeing or activities you may be interested in. For your information, I have received the first Covid-19 inoculation at the end of March 2021. Besides the warm dry climate and the friendly easy going farming community the main attractions are the organic orchards with their fruit stalls and the many wineries in the immediate neighbourhood, many with tasting rooms. The Okanagan lakes, 30 km from here, are very popular with boaters and water sport enthusiasts. And lots of hiking trails and possibilities in the Similkameen and Ashnola watersheds. No public transport available.
