Country Living in mid-Hudson Valley
Our 1880s home with gardens and creek out back is a short bike ride to Beacon's Main St and to hiking trails with vistas. When at home, soak in our outdoor hot tub, collect eggs from our chickens and flowers, herbs and vegetables from our gardens. Our home is surrounded on three sides by open space and feels peaceful and secluded. You can often hear the creek rushing over the falls. Pick your own vegetables, flowers and herbs from our garden. Collect your eggs for breakfast! Garden and chickens will be tended to by our neighbor, so your part is optional. Free weekly CSA share from Fishkill Farms included. The house, yard and garden shed for storing bikes, strollers, etc. We also have a large enclosed front porch for additional storage of outdoor gear. The only thing off limits is the free standing art studio next to the house. We will leave keys for you or arrange for someone to let you in and during your stay, we will be available to answer questions by phone or email. We have a cat who let's herself in and out of the house through the basement. If you would rather not have a cat in the house just let us know. Our neighborhood is quiet and easy to navigate. Our neighbors are extremely friendly and always ready to lend a helping hand. Walk 1/2 mile into the hamlet of Glenham for a sandwich, some pizza or to get a taste of our local post office. :) Hiking trails are basically across the street and up Fishkill Ridge.
