Tentrr Signature Site - Souhegan Serenade
Souhegan Serenade is a secluded campsite situated in a small clearing surrounded by mixed pine and hardwood alongside a beautiful river yet only an hour from Boston and within ten minutes of the interstate. This is a really special spot in New Hampshire within 10 minutes of the interstate. The only things you will see from your site will be trees, wildlife and the river. Souhegan Serenade is dog friendly so your best friend is welcome to join you in exploring our 21 acres on our quarter of a mile of river frontage. Your tent has a queen sized bed with Tentrr's new memory foam mattress for a great night sleep and the campfire has a heavy duty steel fire ring with swing out cooking grate. March Update: - We're going to be closed for mud season. It's a shame really as the woods here are magical after a snow fall. Late February we spotted otter tracks up and down the river bank and through the woods and a few days later spotted and filmed the otter. - If your stay were to include an overnight snowfall you'll likely see numerous animal tracks in the morning. (deer, porcupine, fox, coyote, squirrel, mice, turkey are the more commonly seen) - Once the access road dries out and we're past the danger of a spring flood leaving our camper's vehicle trapped by rising water we'll re-open the site. Special Note for Parties of more than 2 campers: If you come with more than two people, and all want to share the canvas tent, please book the stacking bunk cots in the Extras. They'll fit in the tent next to the bunk bed. Let the music of the river rolling downstream sing you to sleep and the trilling of birdsong greet you in the morning This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with land owners to offer unique accommodations in beautiful outdoor spaces. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature! Your Tentrr campsite includes a (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) square feet) safari-style canvas tent on a raised wooden platform. Inside the tent you'll find one queen bed or a queen-size bunk bed (see photos for the exact setup). The tent is big enough for the bed plus one or two extra sleeping bags on the floor. Aside from the canvas tent, campers can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that’s provided. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night. Max Occupancy: This refers to the total number of campers allowed onsite with your reservation. Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean. Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days. What you should bring: -S'mores supplies & any food you'd like to eat -A cooler to keep your grub from spoiling -Bedding and pillows -Lanterns and lighting -Firewood for the campfire Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location on the property. If a CampKeeper submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the CampKeeper’s property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set! Reservation Modifications/Cancellations: Please note the terms of the cancelation policy as they are outlined in your reservation confirmation on Airbnb. Your CampKeeper is unable to change or cancel your reservation on your behalf, and they are unable to waive any cancellation fees (if applicable). If you have any questions regarding your reservation, Tentrr Customer Support can be reached at (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) After booking, DO check the email address you gave Tentrr for an email from your Campkeeper to request the PDF "Guide to Camping at Souhegan Serenade" if you have difficulty falling asleep at night. Do Practice "leave no trace". The dead wood is for the woodpeckers above and the salamanders below. Leave snags and drops to replenish the ecosystem. The campsite comes stocked with firewood and additional dry firewood is reasonably priced for those that want to keep the home fires burning all night long. Enjoy over a mile of trails free of vegetation so you can take a walk or jog without worry about ticks. In season, come pick raspberries in our berry patch.
