Goose Creek Getaway--A Classy Country Cabin

This well-furnished cabin is surrounded by 18 acres of privately owned fields and woods. A wrap-around deck with a hot tub provides striking views. Hiking trails, fire pit, gas grill, golf cart, pond, laundry, Direct TV (3), internet, stereo, equipped kitchen and games all make for a fun country stay. Rising Star and Belterra Casinos are closeby, and a park/boat ramp on the Ohio is nearby. Rising Sun and Vevay are short drives, and the Arc and Creation Museum are both within 1 hour. Feel free to hike the woods on mowed trails! Bug spray and boots are advised depending on the season and the weather. Gridley Rd. is virtually untravelled and is a great walk as well. The owner lives nearby in the white farmhouse and is available by phone or text for concerns and/or problems. Patriot is the nearest town-3 miles. It has a liquor store and a bait store. There is a grocery there also--mainly good for dry goods. Both Vevay and Rising Sun are larger small towns about 15 miles away in either direction on Rt. 156. Both have IGA's for groceries. You may want to stop on your way in to avoid another trip out. The cabin is isolated, and you will see no there one except for the owner and family on your way in or out. There is plenty of wildlife, but no humans. The trails and little used roads are best enjoyed by hiking. The golf cart can be rented for nearby road travel or the periphery of the fields--but watch for sinkholes! Bring bicycles if you want! Visiting towns, events, venues? An automobile. Some local tourist information is at the cabin. Guests will receive one large bundle of firewood. Sticks in the nearby woods will serve as kindling. Additional bundles of wood are $5 each.
