Bee Cave #3 is the perfectly proportioned bedroom in this late Victorian home. Free hi-speed wifi. Huge flat screen tv in basement lounge or third-floor. Adjacent blocks of historic mansions out the windows. It is furnished w/ a mix of antiques and reproductions with a focus on comfort & style. The rugs are thick and plush 100% wool. Lock box for easy guest check-in. Bee Cave #3 shares a full bath with the Library Annex which is never booked simultaneously with another party. Beauty, privacy, and the most comfortable mattress in the entire estate. Architectural details preserved, as are original woodwork. Broad and deep windows. Upscale furnishings and amenities. Bedroom #3 enjoys a queen bed, gorgeous reproduction overhead light and two antique sconce lights with silk embroidered lamp shades. There is plenty of storage space for folded clothes and belongings. Rolling clothes hanger upon request. Built-in radiator heat, and central air from two splits on the second floor. It shares a full bath equipped with a small soaking tub, white linens, french themed accessories under a large opening window. Two very comfortable chairs sit under one of the large windows. Painted tables and tall narrow chest of drawers. A work and makeup desk with mirror and bench completes Bee Cave #3. There is a shower on the third floor that can be used as well. Much of the house is open for wandering and relaxing. The host request that the master bedroom, the library itself, and the solarium office on the first floor be respected as private areas. Of course, if other guests are in residence, their bedrooms are to be respected as well. The large new deck is always open and filled with large new furniture (2021 is it's first summer season). If we are around, we can be helpful (upon request)! Ambler and Fort Washington are filled with natural beauty, entertainment and amazing places to eat, drink, and shop. Flourtown is a very short drive with additional cinema, shops, and restaurants. A bus stops at your driveway entrance. Ft. Washington SEPTA stations within a walk. There is a flexible escape ladder in the hall closet of the third floor that can be used as a fire escape via a window. There is not an exterior exit from the second floor. There is a grand public staircase between the first two floors, as well as a small "back stairs" between the kitchen and the second floor.
