Historic Oxford Waterfront Estate
Bonfield Manor is located at the entrance of Oxford, a half mile walk or bike ride to restaurants, shops and the Riverview Ave beach. The waterfront property offers a 12 acre park like setting, fabulous views and access to Boone Creek and the Choptank at its confluence into the Chesapeake Bay. Bonfield Manor and its plantation buildings were established in 1771-73. The original Georgian manor burnt down in 1927 and was replaced by an elegant lodge built on the original mound (and colonial basement kitchen). With two master bedroom suites on the ground floor, two queen size bedrooms and 2 bedrooms with 2 twin beds each on the second floor Bonfield Manor can accommodate 8-12 people. The 12 acre property with its shaded outdoor patio, swimming pool, large dock and extensive grounds provides both privacy, time to relax and an extensive playground for young and old. Fishing, crabbing, canoeing and swimming are at your finger tips as are games, TV, WI-Fi, piano and books for in-door entertainment. Oxford is at your footsteps, St Michaels a ferry trip away and Easton a 15 minutes drive.
