Lit'l Bit O' Heaven- The Farmhouse

Close to Clemson, nestled in the Foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Farmhouse décor was hand selected to bring you back to the old homestead. Immerse yourself in luxury while enjoying nature. New for 2021- Traveler’s Game Room and Brew Barn, playset for the children (these are shared spaces), internet in each cabin. The Game room is where you will choose your breakfast foods to take back to your cabin and prepare in the morning. There is an arcade with 300 games, books, board games, Keurig and seating. This is where we hold special events and have complementary beer and wine on the weekends. Enjoy a cup of locally roasted coffee or tea in the morning on your covered porch looking out into the woods, maybe spot a deer passing by or hear the distant sound of a train whistle and the breeze rustling through the trees. After breakfast, grab one of our maps and head out to explore the several hiking trails, 6 mile mountain bike trail, waterfalls, lakes, antique shops, seasonal arts and craft fairs or festivals. Maybe play a round of golf, go whitewater rafting or attend a Clemson game, all within a 10-30 minute drive. Snow tubing and skiing are about an hour away. There is always something to do here all four seasons. Have dinner at one of our local restaurants or come back to the Farmhouse, cook out on the grill and pick some veggies from our seasonal garden for a fresh salad. Pop a movie in the blue-ray player, challenge someone to a board game, or build a fire in the fire ring, make some s’mores and sit back and relax. The farmhouse sleeps 6. It has one private bedroom with a comfy queen size bed. There are two single beds in the loft and a full size pull out sofa bed. Full size tub/shower and stackable washer/dryer. All linens are provided. Paper goods, shampoo, conditioner and homemade soap supplied. Breakfast food is being supplied in our new game room Traveler's Game Room and Brew Barn. You can choose the foods you want and take it back to your cabin to cook in the morning (this is a shared space). Cell service here is spotty. Verizon seems to work pretty well. We believe in supporting our local economy by purchasing local products when suitable. Environmental sustainability is also important to us therefore several of our furnishings are handmade by local residents or have been upcycled by us. Doug is a twice retired Firefighter/Paramedic from Florida. Still working part-time in the medical field Royce is a Paramedic from Florida still working in the medical field. We both fell in love with the Upcountry in South Carolina because of its diverse landscape, and accessibility to outdoor activities. We relocated here about 6 years ago. Although we are still exploring the area, we are a great source for information on places to visit, parks to explore, restaurants to savor, driving trips to experience and current events happening in the area. Both Doug and I want to provide you with a trip to remember with clean, well-appointed cabins that have a homey feel. Tastefully decorated and well-stocked. We have 4 lakes for boating, fishing, swimming and diving. 2 rivers for whitewater rafting, kayaking, tubing, fly fishing. Several boat docks and marina's for water sport equipment rentals or to launch your own boat. National, state and county parks for hiking, zip lines, mountain biking, waterfalls, disc golf, swimming, picnics, playgrounds. Local seasonal festivals, arts and craft shows, quilt tour, live music, golf, preforming arts centers, antique shops, several museums, driving tours, farm stands, craft beer pubs, wine bars, restaurants and so much more. Seasonal sporting events include Clemson home games, golf tournaments, triathlons, bike and foot races, fishing contests.
