OakHill...A Peaceful Paradise!

Come enjoy a stay at OakHill located in the heart of the mitten, surrounded by the Great Lakes. This is a quiet and very safe location for your stay. We are one hour from the blue water bridge and many more attractions, yet secluded and away from the noise. This is a camping experience you won’t regret! Only open May to October 31st, so book early as we do fill up quickly. Diane offers a very unique setting with manicured lawns and woody areas, including two private lakes for fishing, swimming and boating. It's very peaceful here and feels like a hidden oasis. If you need a place for the night or need that getaway from it all OakHill is your ticket. We do except pets with a fee of $20 for each dog, up to two dogs, also any extra visitors have a daily $10 fee just ask us. Those fees are all payable upon booking your stay, just add them to the booking. You can pay by cash, through the cash app or (Hidden by Airbnb) . Diane will greet you upon check in and show you around, take time to get to know you and answer any questions you may have. This place is so special, yet close to many other destinations . The views are wonderful and the birds sing at all times of the day. We also rent the property for outdoor weddings or family gatherings, just ask us about that! Take a little time for yourself here at OakHill, you'll be glad you did! Premium outlet malls just 45 minutes to the north (Birch Run Outlets) and the south (Great Lakes Crossing), as well as dinning within minutes. You will be staying in our 32 foot class A Motor Home equipped with all the amenities including a queen size bed, flat screen TV, full kitchen with a Keurig machine ( bring your favorite K-cups), central heat and a portable air-conditioner. Access to 20 acres that are private, peaceful and secluded. With many activities available like swimming, boating, and fishing ( bring your own rods and kayaks and or water toys if you like), we have a paddle boat and two Kayaks for your use. Fishing is catch and release only. There is a fire pit on site and a wood shed nearby with dry firewood for a small price of 4 pieces for a $1 and kindling is free. If you're a bird watcher, this is heaven! We’re also close to many other attractions, restaurants and shopping destinations. Including, Frankenmuth, Black Rock, and the Flint and Davison Farmers Markets! You’re sure to enjoy your stay here at OakHill! All daily guests pay a fee of $10 per person. Please inform us of any extra guests or pets prior to your stay! These fees are payable by adding them to your booking or cash or (Hidden by Airbnb) upon your arrival! You would be staying in our 32 foot class A Motor Home equipped with all the amenities including a queen size bed, flat screen TV, full kitchen with a Keurig machine. Just bring your favorite K-cups, food, charcoal and lighter fluid for the grill. All dinner ware, utensils, pots and pans and linens are provided. There is no WiFi at this location. There is a fire pit and there’s firewood available in the woodshed (see photos). You'll have access to 20 acres of well manicured property. With many activities available like bird watching, boating, fishing with no license, (catch and release only). Shopping is so close as well as many destinations like Frankenmuth, Canada, the Detroit Zoo and the Great Lakes Crossing outlet! There are a few rules: -We do allow dogs but they must be cleared through us before hand. We charge an additional fee for pets of $20 due to the extra cleaning and deodorizing of the RV. There is an additional fee of $20 per car for additional guests or $10 per guest, per day with no overnight stays. You can pay that upon check in we do except cash, through Cash App or (Hidden by Airbnb) ! DoorDash, Uber, Lyft, and all pizzerias service our location. -Absolutely NO SMOKING IN THE RV -You must pick up after yourself to avoid cleaning charges. -You will be held responsible for any property damage. -No burning of household waste in the fire pit. -SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK / NO LIFE GUARD ON DUTY! -All fishing is catch and release only. These rules are also listed in the RV. Please do not send any family members or friends to our property. Your booking is for you only and only the day or days you booked. We will leave you to have fun but are always a phone call away. There is a lot of grounds maintenance required on the property and we try to maintain a quiet environment for our quests. We try to schedule all grounds maintenance around our guests stay with us to keep from hearing lawnmowers, string trimmers, and chainsaws. Dial up a ride or rent a car from one of the many rental agencies near by. Uber and Lyft are always available! Dan and Diane like Lucky's Steak House and Italia Gardens in Davison or for less expensive eats we like Leo's Coney Island. The Flint area is known for its Koegels hot dogs and Flint style Coney sauce. :) If you don't have a specific day your trying to book you can go to the calendar on the Airbnb site to see what's available. It’s simply by looking at the calendar for that site. Days that are already booked or blocked can be seen. There is no wifi at this location. Pick your days and book!
