That stuff is real, not just fiction made up in spaghetti westerns, and that's why we have built a communal fire pit. Come on down and bring your harmonica, ukulele, guitar, djembe, or dobro! If staying up late and burning the midnight oil around the fire isn't your thing there are numerous other activities on the ranch to partake in. We have a horseshoe pit, numerous hiking and mountain bike trails nearby, and you can also take a tour of the ranch and learn a little bit about where our nation's food really comes from. We have over 250 acres of land surrounded by thousands of public land that is open to explore! You have access to Heart Mountain for day hikes, elevation at the top 8,200 feet. The views are worth the effort. For the consideration of the other campers enjoying Big Quiet Camping please try to arrive and check in before 7pm. As an organic ranch, we believe that respectful and sustainable food production is one of the most important things we can do to help solve our world's health and energy problems. We raise our animals in a humane setting that allows them the freedom they were meant to have from birth; wide open spaces and native vegetation. Our garden of various foods are grown without any pesticides or chemicals, and are planted, weeded, and harvested all by hand. Throughout the summer we also have numerous Farm-to-Table dinners that showcase food grown exclusively on our farm, and other neighboring sustainable farms and ranches. Guests are welcome to join for an additional charge. We believe that everyone should know where their food comes from. That is why we have created this Farm-to-Table series. Throughout the summer, we partner with local culinary artists to put on a series of dinners for the local community and guests at the ranch. These dinners showcase organic, locally grown food from our farm, and neighboring sustainable farms and ranches. Everything is gourmet, made from scratch, and the flavors are something that just can’t be compared. We invite you to sit down and have dinner with us. Shake the hand that grows your food.
