Norrsken Scandinavian Cottage

The guest cottage is painted to resemble a Scandinavian retreat. Complete with separate bedroom, extra blow-up queen bed, kitchenette, wood burning stove, WiFi (the best we can find but not great!!!) and large television (DirecTV), it is a great getaway for a couple or a family. Owners live on property if you need anything. If you are a bit adventurous, we can put up the 2-person tent right next to Lake Superior. Fall asleep to the sound of the waves. The entire property is smoke free. We love Lake Superior and our spot in the Northwoods! Norrsken is quiet, comforting and peaceful - a real retreat that we are excited to share. This cottage is private with no cameras! You can see two of the Apostle Islands' famous lighthouses and watch the sun set over Chequamegon Bay. Guests will have a great lake Superior view from the sliding glass doors and open area in front of the Cottage. Norrsken is very private with seating on the ridge above the lake. And we ask you to do the same for us. The boathouse deck and of course our home and porches are private for our personal use only. Norrsken is smack dab in the woods, approximately 3 miles from the city of Ashland. Within 5 miles are two great grocery stores (one of them an organic cooperative), a great coffee shop, a fine baking company, convenience stores, downtown shops, Walgreens and Walmart. With all the Northwoods fresh air, the entire property is smoke free. Our WiFi is spotty but it is the best we can get at this time.
