- Fully Furnished - 2 bed, 1 bath house - Wood burning fireplace - Internet and cable TV - East and west decks & hot tub overlooking lake - Kitchen fully equipped - Laundry on first floor - There is a private beach behind the house but access is limited depending on the weather and lake levels ovrflow beach. I keep the path clean and weed free but this is a high erosion area. Some climbing is involved. If you are older or not agile Walnut is avail 9% LODGING TAX ADDED ASHTABULA COUNTY REQUIR It is a one story house on Lake Erie, very private in quiet neighborhood. It was built in 1921 and is historical. You must meet the housekeeper to gain access. During Covid you will not meet housekeeper for safety reasons. Any questions will be answered by media, phone, face time. I do this for a reason. The home has many things that must be explained and gone over. The front of the house faces the lake and at one time there was a promenade to the Country club that existed next door. The dining area has a outdoor table due to lack of easy storage it is used in summer so I cannot have both a fancy dining table and extra outdoor table. A hot tub with a view of the lake is on the west deck. There is an enclosed glass porch with views of the lake from all sides. There is a wood burning fireplace - very cozy in winter. During winter there is cross country skiing at the country club and sledding across the street. It is a metro park with walk trails. My goal for you is to have a great stay. I and my house manager go out of my way to provide a warm and welcome stay. I try to provide anything you would need for a great time. Be aware I have signs up around the house on how to work things. It is for your benefit that they are there. I have tried putting them in one place, putting them in a book and bottom line, people don't read them. I have now made them smaller on index cards. The yard and the house is at your disposal. The house has a fenced-in courtyard as well as a large open yard area. The beach and access is work to get to, but enjoyable when weather and conditions allow. Be aware some climbing is involved. During the summer, the weather is accommodating more often than not, but Beach access is not 100% guaranteed. The lake levels and weather determine how hard to get to and if its usable. This is not something I control. Currently the beach is gone. I have a housekeeper at your disposal for any problems. The 75 dollar cleaning fee is for the cleaning before your arrival - all is cleaned, bleached linens done. I have signs around to home to help you operate the equipment so there are no problems. Sometimes, things may occur that are beyond my control. If something breaks while you are there, the House manager will evaluate the problem. Cable going out, hot tub malfunctions. We do everything we can to get things up and running. If i am unable to get wifi, hot tub or tv's functioning I will talk with you. YOU ARE EXPECTED TO LEAVE HOUSE AND YARD AS YOU FOUND IT. Quaint, quiet town. Highly recommended: Across the Street, - Martinis! Restaurant & Lounge: Great Martini's, steak bowls and must try the homemade Peanut Butter Pie. 5th Street, in the harbor, -The Cloven Hoof for specialty beers is amazing - Harbor Perk coffee shop where they fresh roast their beans every morning, patrons come from multiple states just for this. - Carlisle's Home Store for shopping little treasures and Wren has great wines. - The Bascule Bridge grill for great dinners. Mussels are a must try. - Briquettes Smokehouse for great beers and BBQ. Also, Brant's Apple Farm which makes fresh donuts pastries and apple cider is a must on fall mornings. Located in a small town, a car is necessary. They do have cabs and, unfortunately, little to no uber/lyft/ride sharing as of right now. There also is a "Jolly Trolley" that visits winery's if you are going to the wineries. It is very important that if you have problems (can't find lights, there is something not to your liking, etc.), you can contact the housekeeper or myself immediately upon arrival. The bathroom has calcium buildup from hard water and a few stains. I do not like water softeners so we do are best to keep things at bay. Bathroom is thoroughly cleaned and bleached before each arrival. There are no refunds after your stay!!! Please don't wait till after you leave. I can't help you once you are gone. There are security cameras installed above the courtyard, the southeast porch, and the western deck. They are only able to be accessed by myself and I do so only in case of emergency, home invasion or home problem. All cameras face outward, and there is no surveillance indoors of any kind.
