The Crystal River Nest - Private Fishing Paradise

Nestled beside the Crystal River on 13 Moons Ranch, the River Nest boasts a 1/2 mile of private fishing and is the perfect space to disconnect from the outside world and reconnect with nature. Soak into our modestly sophisticated and cozy space while gazing out at 13,000 foot Mount Sopris and the Crystal River right outside your doorstep. Watch the local wildlife stroll by your picture windows as you breathe in the fresh mountain air and listen to the river rushing by. Whatever you're coming to Carbondale to enjoy, this space is only 10 minutes outside of town, but feels miles away and secluded. 13 Moons Ranch is an inspirational piece of land and non-profit education center where artists, musicians, and the community come together to share the love of the land. Set on the outskirts of the 30-acre 13 Moons Ranch, this space is truly unique, tucked right along the Crystal River at the base of Mount Sopris. There are other units on the ranch, but you have acres of privacy around the cabin. Not only do you have a stunning 1/2 mile of private fishing seclusion, but you're only 10 minutes from downtown Carbondale. The River Nest is the perfect space to unwind and listen to the sounds of nature. The concept of this space is simple: unplug & unwind. There is speedy wifi in the space (although it can intermittently be down due to rural mountain conditions) but we ask our guests to choose this escape to connect with nature (bring your binoculars for bird watching and leave your work emails for work!). For this reason, we do not provide a TV at this space. This one-bedroom open-concept space is perfect for 2 but can fit 4 with a memory foam pull out couch bed (please note there is no door to the bedroom). Enjoy your full kitchen stocked with gas range, large copper sink, microwave, and fridge - enjoy coffee and tea in the morning while you watch the sun climb above the 13,000 foot mountain range in your backyard. Sit and read a book in one of your two comfortable sitting areas, or soak in the deep claw-foot tub while watching the trees sway outside. This space is truly a home away from home. PLEASE NOTE: - This space is located on the beautiful 13 Moons Ranch: a biodynamic 30-acre working ranch and non-profit education center where artists, musicians, and the community come together. While this space is extremely private and at least a few acres away from other structures, there are other barns and residences on the 30-acres. Occasionally there are small educational events held at the ranch that focus around art and music. We will provide a link in the guide book for the ranch and these programs but like our guests to know that they will occasionally see small groups of people gathering to learn. We encourage you to join if you can! - There is no television in this home as the homeowners want guests' to focus on unplugging and enjoying the beautiful nature around them! - We require the home to be cleaned every 14 days and you will be billed an additional cleaning fee for each 14 day period you are at the home. For example: 15-28 night stay = cleaning fee x 2 / 40 night stay = cleaning fee x 3).
