The Bear Den is a beige/green trim home with a perfect location for all your outdoor ventures, located on the corner of hwy 63 and Leonard Schoo Rd. between Seeley and Cable, WI. This 2- bedroom, 1 1/2 bath unit features AC, WiFi, and north-woods decor. Relax in private backyard with firepit, free firewood, a grill and outdoor furniture. Convenience cooking only with restaurants, gas and grocery shopping nearby Cable, WI, or Seeley, WI. Please read our 'house manual' before booking your stay. The Bear Den is the perfect size for up to 4 guests, a $20 fee for each guest after one person, so please include the correct number of guests when booking this private home. There are two bedrooms with queen-size beds and 1 1/2 bathrooms. Relax outdoors in the private backyard. During warmer months, we provide an outdoor firepit, a propane grill, barbeque tools, an outdoor sink with running water, table and chairs, and a bench for sitting. Just a quarter mile down Leonard School Road from the Bear Den is a scenic bridge over the Namekagon River. We are at the heart of all the trails around for hiking, biking, skiing, snowmobiling etc. and have guidebooks/brochures in the dining room. Please note that cooking at the Bear Den is limited to an electric frypan, a toaster overn, a crockpot, toaster, microwave, refrigerator a nd coffee makers. We don't have a full stove/range. We do provide dishes, basic utensils and an outdoor propane grill for cooking. The Bear Den is all yours to enjoy while you stay. The Bear Den back yard is also your space to enjoy while you are here as a guest. There is a grill, firepit (with firewood) and outdoor table and chairs. You are welcome to let us know if you need anything when you arrive. Please message through Airbnb. We have provided a list of restaurants on the bulletin board in the entry and also have brochures, trail maps, and other tourist information in the dining room atop the refrigerator. The Bear Den is located between the Village of Seeley and Township of Cable, WI on the corner of hwy 63 and Leonard School Rd; beige building w/green trim. The Namekagon River is a short walk down Leonard School Road to the bridge. There are numerous lakes with public boat landings and beaches just minutes from the Bear Den. We are less than 5 minutes to access the Birke Trail for cross country skiing. There are also atv and snowmobile trails all around the area. Some of the local events include the Birkebeiner Ski Race, Lumberjack World Championship, and the Fat Tire Festival. Many famous places and events are within a 1 to 2 hour drive, such as Copper Falls, Amnicon Falls, Lake Superior Sea Caves, Bayfield Apple Festival, Stone Lake Cranberry Festival, Copper Peak Adventure Ride, Great Lakes Aquarium, Hayward Musky Fest, Spooner Rodeo and many more! There is plenty of room for you to park your vehicle, boat, snowmobiles, four-wheelers, even a semi-truck! 'R' Café is located directly across the highway, within walking distance. Be prepared for extra traffic and excitement during the annual world class Birkebeiner Ski Race, Fat Tire event and Lumberjack Festival. Please be advised that there is an additional fee for each person after 1 person and book your stay accordingly. Please note that we do not allow pets or smoking. Please bring locking devices for your sports equipment as we do not allow bicycles or other larger equipment inside the building. We also do not allow burning candles, waxing skis indoors, or charging a hybrid vehicle at our expense; our breaker system is not set up for this. Please note that there is not a stove/range. We do provide a microwave, electric frypan, toaster, toaster-oven, refrigerator, crockpot and coffeemakers. Pack n' play crib available upon advance request.
