Wind in the Willows - Mary Davies Room

Come and enjoy the beauty of upstate New York in our quaint village of Jefferson. Relax in the setting of the foothills of the Catskill Mountains. Stay in our charming 1890's country home and explore our area famous for maple syrup, dairy farms, beautiful views and recreation! We are excited to kick off one of our newly renovated rooms - the Mary Davies Room! The artwork on the walls features Canadian artist , my mom - Mary Davies (printmaker/painter). You'll appreciate the custom made vaulted ceiling over your king size bed, complete with special lighting and a tasteful chandelier. This bathroom is the only one with a heated tiled floor. Also the tiled walk-in shower is amazing and spacious. Enjoy your coffee or tea with complimentary welcome muffins while relaxing in your comfy chairs. The room also comes with books and magazines to read as well as a roku tv. Choose to relax and slow down on our welcoming front porch or side garden filled with seasonal floral beauty. Have a stroll down the back of our property along our 'beaver pond path' where the pond meets our quiet brook. We are always excited to greet; welcome our guests and show them to their room. However, there are times when we are unable to do so. If that is the case, we will communicate all the information our guests will need to make their arrival time as easy as possible. Visit the Breakfast club for breakfast or lunch- just a short stroll from us-open everyday form 7 am - 2 pm. Or enjoy Buck Hill Farm-sap house for breakfast just a 2 minute drive down the road, weekends only 8 am - 1 pm. Take a stroll through our quaint village and enjoy dinner & drink at our local restaurant. Just ask us, we have several other suggestions for dinner that are just a short drive away. From May to October, every Saturday morning, Jefferson showcases a farmers market that includes - farm to table; local plants; and many homemade and handmade items. Enjoy!!
