You are staying at a guest house for our Community. We hope to make it available to discerning travelers who wish to enjoy the peace and quiet of Southeastern Arizona and explore the Chiricahua National Monument, old ghost towns (Tombstone, Pierce, etc), Wine Tasting, Rex Allen Museum, and much, much more. There is room to relax and to pray. This, hopefully will be your home away from home. Plenty of space for the dogs to run around and burn off some pent up energy from the trip. Under the pergola you can enjoy your dining with your favorite local Willcox wines from which we have gained deserved fame. Apple Annie's pies are 5 minutes driving distance. You can buy them ready made or bake them in the kitchen. Your full service TV with DISH "Everything," PRIME, and NETFLIX in your room should make your stay enjoyable. National parks, Tombstone, Bisbee and other ghost towns are all with an hour's drive from this hub. Wine tasting from the many local wineries is "a must." Willcox itself is a great visit as it's historic center is where Wayne Earp (Wyatt's brother) was shot and died. The historic Willcox theater and the oldest store in Arizona grace our town. Agua Prieta, Mexico is but an hour away and historic Douglas is worth the visit. We hope to serve you and, anticipating your arrival: "Welcome home." You will have free run of the living rooms, dining areas, kitchens. We hope you will bring your groceries or if you need for Moramay to prepare something, you may dialog with her. Feel free to prepare your meals and dine where you will outside or in the four various dining areas. If you are a large group, there is space for large area dining indoors. There is a ramp for easy access to anyone with special needs. There is a very friendly bilingual (English and Spanish) person living at the home who will care for your every need. If you need anything, Moramay is available in case I am not home. We enjoy open rangeland on three sides and have neighbors (very respectful) only on the street side. NO NOISE! "Eating out" options include: There are good restaurants, fast food (burgers, pizza, and chicken), and diners. All near the House. Safeway supermarket, Family Dollar, and Dollar General are within a mile radius. You will need transportation. We are in a rural area. Distances can be vast between towns. There is ample parking. There is a GREYHOUND service very close by (with walking distance). We will be happy to offer advice and plans for getting to know this, the most beautiful place in the world: Southeastern Arizona! There is no public transportation. Distances are vast between towns. The nearest big city is Tucson and there a other towns of similar size (Benson, Safford, Douglas...) all around an hour's drive by car. There is a Greyhound stop in Willcox if we are your destination. But a car is a must. No UBER, nor Lyft and no taxi service and no municipal bus service. If you are planning an excursion into Mexico (Agua Prieta or Naco, Sonora) it is best to bring your passport. You may not need it, but it is proof that you are a U.S. citizen (if that be the case). In any case, you will need an identification card. The drive into Tombstone forces you to pass a secondary border check facility. If you have any immigration issues, it is a bad idea to go South to Tombstone, Bisbee, Douglas, Sierra Vista, Elfrida, etc. without the necessary documentation so to avoid deportation.
