Peaceful, Secluded Country Cottage Huge Garden with Fire Pit

Wake up in this private tranquil retreat. The cozy, mid-century modern cottage is located on over two acres of land boasting a back deck, lovely ridge views, a lawn, and woods for a great place to enjoy the outdoors. PLEASE NOTE: in these challenging times we are taking extra steps with our cleaning protocols. These include: requiring our cleaners to wear masks & gloves at all times, leaving the house vacant between guests for as long as possible, sanitizing all hard surfaces, light switches, door knobs etc., providing guests with sanitizing cleaning supplies. We want you to be safe. Olive Star Cottage has a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, stocked with all the essentials, new stainless appliances and sliding doors out onto the deck. The living room has been outfitted with mid-century modern furniture and the comfortable couch is perfect for movie watching in front of the fire. There is also outdoor seating, sun loungers, umbrellas and a grill for use in warmer weather. The house has two bedrooms with queen size beds and a ceramic tile bathroom - linens and towels are provided in addition to basic toiletries. A sonos speaker & wireless internet access provide the entertainment. Guests have access to the ground floor of the property (the upstairs space is not available for guests) and the expansive lawn. Dogs are welcome - just please be aware the woods behind the house are private property. A one time pet fee of $40 applies. We are available 24/7 with questions, concerns or suggestions, otherwise we want you to enjoy the privacy of your vacation. The house is a five minute drive from the beautiful Ashokan Reservoir and a close drive to hiking trails, watering holes, and apple picking. The wonderful restaurants located in Stone Ridge, High Falls, and Woodstock are also just 20 minutes away. A car is essential. Cell service varies depending on service provider (travel tip: print out or screen-shot driving directions incase cell service is not available once in the area). Please do not leave any trash or food outside on the property as this attracts the woodland animals. The top floor is where the owner keeps her things and is not available to guests. The owner will never be there when the house is rented nor will it be rented to anyone else. You will have the entire place to yourself.
