Circa 1840's house & great views of Lake Champlain

We do NOT accept requests from guests without reviews by Airbnb hosts for previous stays. We need to get an idea of the type of guest you are so we are comfortable renting to you. Our house is nicely decorated with comfy furniture and beds for a relaxing stay. Fully equipped kitchen with a professional stove for those who like to cook. Amtrak trains roll through Port Henry day and night so you will hear them. There is also a catholic church in town that chimes on the hour from 8am-6pm daily. Guests can use the entire space except the basement since the basement is unfinished. The entire house is open to guests. My husband and I are not local but we do provide a local contact's information if guests have questions or need assistance. Randy & Misha's home is in the town of Port Henry. There are a few local restaurants, a quick mart, grocery store and wine/liquor store. In depth The Town of Moriah encompasses the distinctive hamlets of Witherbee, Moriah Center, Moriah Corners, Mineville, and the Village of Port Henry. Port Henry is affectionately known as the “San Francisco of the Adirondacks,” as it sits on a hill overlooking the Lake Champlain Bridge and Bullwagga Bay. It is also the home of “Champ” - the Lake Champlain Monster. Water enthusiasts can enjoy two beaches, two marinas, a NYS boat launch and a fishing pier. Climb the Cheney Mountain Trail or the Belfry Mountain Trail for fabulous vistas over the lake and beyond. Learn about the town’s rich iron ore and mining industry at the Iron Center Museum. Cruise the Coast Want to learn more about the Lake Champlain Region? There are a number of websites with a list of local events so you can plan for your vacation dates. There are an incredible array of outdoor activities, indoor attractions, and year-round fun that's waiting for you to discover here! Parking is available for 2 cars in a private space. There is also Street parking available. No smoking or vaping in house. No pets. The house does not have central air conditioning. It is typically cool in the evenings and every room has a fan. The lake side porch has 3 ceiling fans. Confirmed guests only. Please be advised there is a security camera located on the property and we monitor guest numbers. The presence of unconfirmed guests will result in immediate cancellation by Airbnb and termination of your stay.
