This Super Host is waiting for your visit and fully cleans the TreeHouse suite after EVERY guest visit!! You’ll love your private space. The entire lower floor and covered deck are +1000 sq ft, with separate private keyed entrance, bath, bedroom with king bed, comfy TV living area, fireplace, kitchen area w/ microwave, hot plate, fridge, toaster oven, etc. The entire Suite is non-smoking! There are 19 cement steps down & then 11 steps up to access the Suite. Be sure you are OK with steps! When we built this house 30 years ago, we knew that we'd have special plans for the lower level. It/s been a great project, and everyone who stays with us comments on how great the space feels. You'll have access to the entire lower level. The suite is over 850 square feet1! It has its own dedicated entrance, and is locked off from the rest of our residence. With a private bedroom, living area, private deck (covered against any rain) and full private bath ... you'll have a great guest experience. We hope you'll enjoy it too. Guests visit us for 3 primary reasons ... 1. they are visiting family locally, 2. they are traveling for business, 3. or, they are wanting to stay in a gateway location close to "Oregon Wine Country" The northern Willamette valley has earned the reputation of being the "New Napa Valley". We have dozens of quality vineyards within a short 30-45 minute drive. We have personally visited many of them, and have a dedicated section in our "House Guidebook" that covers our favorites. AND ... If you want to Picnic, or take food to any of the numerous vineyards that allow outside food ... we have a Picnic Basket, Blanket, portable chairs, etc available for our guests to use. You'll have private, locked off access to the entire lower 1/3 of our home. There is a lockbox next to the sliding door entry, and the key is inside. We'll communicate and get you the code in case we're not going to be there to greet you in person. NO SMOKING PREMISES: Please understand that the TreeHouse is a NON-smoking environment ... inside, decks, driveways, the street out front, and all of the neighboring houses and yards. We respect our guests privacy. Our level of interaction with our guests is determined by you ... you'll let us know how much ... or how little ... contact you'd like to have. Our neighborhood is mature and 30+ years old, and is almost exclusively single family residences. Very pleasant to walk in, and you'll find all of the neighbors to be friendly. We're a short drive from the I-5 freeway, 20 minutes from downtown Portland, 2 great malls are 10-15 minutes away, 2 minutes to farmland and 10 minutes to wine country. 2 Golf courses less than 5 minutes away. Restaurants, Coffee, and Grocery stores are 3-4 minutes away by car. You're welcome to park in the driveway if you car doesn't leak oil or fluids, or if it does let us know as we'll have a "drip pan" ready for you. The Suite is NOT handicap friendly, as there are a number of stairs that descend down (19) to and up (12) into the Suite. And, Martha and I live upstairs. You'll likely hear us moving around.
