Flamingo Cottage

A Craftsman style bungalow located in a quiet residential neighborhood a short distance from downtown Waterloo. Close to downtown Cedar Falls and UNI. Convenient to a local bicycle trail network consisting of more than 100 miles of hard paved trails. The fenced backyard has paved patio seating. Two smart TVs are connected to expanded cable programming, business-class high speed internet access. A full kitchen is available, including a Keurig Coffee Maker, refrigerator with filtered water and icemaker, microwave and smoothtop stove. Front door is equipped with a keypad which will be set with an exclusive number for you to use during your stay. Laundry facilities, including laundry detergent are available for your use in the basement, it's not pretty, but it's on site and it's free, otherwise the basement is basically a storage area. A hostess will be available by telephone, text or email to answer questions you may have. Byrnes Park is about 6 blocks away including children's playground, swimming pool, 18 hole golf course and tennis courts. Kwik Star is conveniently located 6 blocks away, available for small items & gas. A small neighborhood Hy-Vee is located at the corner of Ansborough and W 4th St. Most of the streets have sidewalks, making it perfect for walking or running. The Cedar Valley has an amazing paved trail system conveniently located 6 blocks from Flamingo Cottage. The trail is suitable for bicycles, roller blades, and walking. Didn't bring your bicycles? Bicycles can be rented at Waterloo Bicycle Works conveniently located steps from the trail. The city bus runs on 3rd street, with stops 1 block from the house. On street parking directly in front of the house, with additional parking available on both side streets. Off street parking for one car is next to the garage, which can be accessed from the alley behind the house. When I am in town I share Flamingo Cottage with a 12 pound poodle (Cooper) and a geriatric cat (Cinder). Cinder and Cooper will be staying with friends during your stay at Flamingo Cottage.
