Welcome to Maine and lake life! This cozy little cabin is a stones throw away from the waters edge. Enjoy the deck and dock as you watch the loons, bald eagles and other local wildlife. Our guests have access to our kayaks and canoe if you want to get off the shore and out into the water. The pond is great for swimming and perfect for small children. Where else can you get enough room to sleep 4-6 people (6 if you have kids) people that is lake front with access to kayaks, canoe, BBQ and a fire pit at this price?!? Enjoy the serenity of the waters edge where you will hear the welcoming call of your neighbors- the loons and Bald Eagles. Guests can enjoy full access to the lake and backyard. The dock and deck can be freely used along with the kayaks and canoe. We do have a washer and dryer in the main house that can be utilized with the proper coordination. This is shared space with our family living in the adjacent house. We are a family of 5 with 3 kids ages 7, 8, and 11 but will offer you as much privacy as you desire. Easy access to nearby Pittsfield, Skowhegan or Newport for shopping and dining. Access to Interstate 95 is just minutes away. The cabin has a composting toilet. The kitchenette has a small sink with hot and cold water. There is also a sink in the bathroom. There is an outdoor shower with hot and cold water. FAQ Is there AC- There is no AC. We don’t even have it in the house. Just a few window units for the hottest time of the year. The cabin is actually cooler than the main house and the big windows open up in all the rooms for ventilation. They also have screens. Is there electricity? Yes. There are outlets throughout the cabin with lights on switches. There is also an outdoor light that lights up the entry and yard leading to the cabin. How close is the cabin to the main house? The tiny cabin sits off the porch of the main house by about 25’. The cabin sits on ground level and the porch is elevated up about 6’ from ground level. There is a curtain on the cabin bedroom window and the main house has covered windows for privacy to those in the house and those in the cabin.
