Nestledown Farmhouse is a restored 1860's farmhouse with modern conveniences ~ comfy furniture and spectacular beds, plenty of books and throws available so you can cozy up and relax, Wi-fi and TV onsite and a cast iron soaking tub in one of two bathrooms. Enough room for a group to be together and connected, and cozy enough for one person or one or two couples. Nespresso and pods available because having your own macchiato creekside beats the coffee shops in town! The farmhouse is situated on a Century Farm, owned by the same family since 1877. The space has been renovated to maintain a farm house feel while incorporating modern amenities including natural stone countertops, heated flooring in the tub bathroom, and wonderful beds. Plenty of outlets to plug in your devices and plenty of books and a deck overlooking Couse Creek to help you unplug and relax. The kitchen is complete and ready for you to cook in with all appliances and accessories to create a feast. Owners live in another home nearby. We value your privacy but are close if you need anything. The house sleeps 8 and has one king bedroom and one queen bedroom downstairs. The two downstairs bedrooms share (Jack & Jill) a bathroom with an antique cast iron tub and heated floor. The second, larger bathroom is connected to the laundry and has a walk-in shower with two heads and a bench. Upstairs is one queen bedroom and one queen sleeper in an open area. Washer and dryer onsite. Each bathroom has a hairdryer and a magnifying mirror, plenty of towels, soaps and lotions. The tub bathroom has bubble bath and bath salts. Owners onsite and available if you request by text. Nestledown is in the rural Eastern Oregon countryside, nestled in a small valley surrounded by wheat fields and grape vineyards. We are close to museums, wineries and many historical sites including Whitman Mission, Ft. Walla Walla museum complex, Tamastslikt Cultural Center and the Pendleton Round-Up. Settled in the 1860's and 70's, the area is rich with history as well as being a major Pacific Northwest Wine Region. We are 'close enough' to many places to hike from the property or to drive a short distance and hike into the Blue Mountains. Wallowa Lake, Joseph and Enterprise, Oregon are within two hours of Nestledown. 15 miles from Walla Walla, 30 miles from Pendleton. Taxi service in both towns, Kayak bus service between towns and there are many options for chauffeured wine-tasting in the area. The farmhouse is situated on a working farm with chickens, cows, the family dog and cats and Dolly Llama, who MAY grace you with her presence....she is VERY selective AND shy. Couse Creek runs through the back of the property just off Nestledown's back deck and creek-wading is encouraged!
