Enjoy a unique experience by sleeping in a 13x13x13ft Tentsile Tree Tent. Nestled in the woods with an overview of a horse pasture, this peaceful camp is a great way to have a rustic life experience. Start a campfire. Cook some food. Lay in the hammocks. Sleep among the trees. Listen to the frogs, crickets, and creek. The songs of nature. This is a great place to reset. Many amenities are included. Message me if you have more than three people. There is room for a ground tent or hammocks. The cost per night includes 2 people. Each additional person is $10 a night. If you want more than 3 people, please reach out and ask. Sleep suspended over this wooded mountainside, in a Tentsile, three person, tree tent. The sleeping area is in the upper level, although you can also sleep on the trillium, that is the first level hammock. This primitive campsite, and suspended tree tent, provides a unique experience for campers, new and seasoned. This shelter, complete with a rain fly, is located on a steep hillside in the woods of Western North Carolina. The tent is designed to protect you in all weather conditions, rain or shine. Once you arrive, you will have a short trek through the woods to this location. Then, when you arrive at the clearing, you will be surrounded by trees and embraced by the landscape. Here you will find the hammock and tree tent. The tent is built to house three people. Climb up into hammock and then up into the tent and experience living and sleeping among the trees. Tentsile recommends, when its colder, that you use a pad or mattress of some sort to keep the cold from chilling you as you sleep. There is a fire pit, with a grill as well as a rocket stove. I do not provide firewood. However, you can gather dead fall wood, if you wish. Note: The canopy of trees keeps even the dry wood difficult to light. Please bring hand tools, fire starters, charcoal briquettes, etc. for helping you get a fire going. Lay on the hammock and listen to the horses grazing peacefully below the camp. The creek babbles near by. In the evening, the tree frogs sing their nighttime song. When the fireflies come out, they twinkle like nature's Christmas lights. A short walk away, through a small wetland , you will find the place where the spring fed creek gathers into a shallow pool. Here, you can easily wash up. Please use biodegradable soap. I understand that Castille soap is a good choice. This spot is shared with Babbling Brook Treehouse, also a camping spot on our property. ARRIVAL TIME - Because of the steep hillside, dense underbrush, and the dense darkness of the woods at night, is difficult to get into the site after dark. Please come before the sun sets. Please bring flashlights!! LOCAL ACTIVITIES: to the west is the Blue Ridge Parkway, which is about 30 minutes away. 15 minutes away is Kerr Scott Dam where you can rent kayaks, pontoon boats, (as well as other sporting equipment), and fish. There is a great mountain biking trail, as well as hiking trails. Prayer Mountain is right up the road. Heading east, you can find several fine wineries and vineyards that you can visit. There is also a moonshine distillery in town. About a half hour away is the Amish community that has several businesses open to the public, including the Shiloh Bakery and General Store. They are closed on Sunday and Monday. To the northeast, about 45 minutes away, is Stone Mountain. Absolutely fantastic hiking, it is also an old homestead that has been renovated and is open to the public. To the south, there is Rocky Face Park, where there is hiking and rock climbing. 30 minutes away, is Emerald Hollow Mine, where you can walk in the river, find and keep, precious gems. There is also a great disk course course, Highland Hills Disc Golf Course, one of the top 25 in the country. Merlefest (Septemb (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) , a world class Bluegrass festival, is located right in our town. There is fun for all ages. Be sure to look at the activities section below for additional information. TRASH REMOVAL: Please take your trash with you. CAMPING IN THE TREE TENT IN COOLER WEATHER: As the cool air comes through the bottom of the tree tent, it is recommended that you bring one or two blankets to put under your sleeping bag. A double layer is recommended to keep out the cold. (blanket plus sleeping bag). WE ALSO HAVE ADDITIONAL SITES ON THE PROPERTY: Cozy Cabin Farm Stay Babbling Brook Treehouse Happy Hillside Hammock and Tent Camping Group Camping with Babbling Brook Treehouse You will have the tent and all the area around it as well. You are surrounded by the woods and can wander freely in them. Also, you can follow the path down the hill to get to the creek, where you will also find the community area, with various amenities. I am usually available. We are a rural setting but still close to lots of cool stuff. Read my additional information or just ask. I can help you.
