The Country Retreat at the historic Schmitz Family Farm, is close to many attractions, ideal for couples, families, girls weekends, extended stays or business travel and is dog friendly. Enjoy a sunrise or sunset, get cozy at the fireplace, or indulge in the many activities our area has to offer. We feature two beautiful bedrooms, living room with two sleeper sofas (can also be used as a third bedroom, as door closes for privacy), laundry room, full kitchen, coffee nook, quiet deck and backyard. We can accommodate up to 7 guests: two beautiful bedrooms, and living room can be privately closed and also used as a third bedroom (living room has two sleeper sofas). One dog will be welcome at a fee of $40 per stay, which will be prompted during booking. If you have additional dogs, please reach out to me. We are available for extended stay, and offer significant discounts of 25% off for stays one month or longer (all utilities included). Please contact for information. We welcome traveling nurses/ medical professionals/ business travelers. Winter is AMAZING in our area, and we are fortunate to be located so close to many hiking trails, along with two ski/snowboard/tubing establishments. Please venture over to our local Ice Age Trails, Pike Lake State Park hiking trails, or County Park trails. Private massage therapist will come to the Guest House for individual or couples massage - please send message for her information and reasonable rates. The warm and inviting master bedroom features a beautiful antique bed, Sleep Number mattress, large closet and soft lantern. The second bedroom features another gorgeous antique bed, and sink for freshening up. There is also space in second bedroom if an additional twin sized air mattress is needed. Living room can be used as a third bedroom, as it has a door for privacy. This room features a large television, full sized and twin sized sleeper sofa couches and fireplace. Laundry room with supplies, full bathroom with toiletries, coffee nook supplied with a variety of Keurig cups as well as large coffee pot, and full kitchen equipped with refrigerator, stove, microwave, bread maker and many cooking utensils, making this a perfect extended stay (just bring groceries!) Private deck and large backyard located off kitchen, and patio furniture/ grill located on deck for your enjoyment! Pack & Play, high chair and kids picnic table available for those with small children. Upon arrival, be tempted with the fresh cookies sitting on your farm table. While we are not antisocial, we do prefer that we respect each others privacy. For the safety of our animals and our guests, we appreciate that people do not wander around our farm operation. Ideal location for extended stay or business travel; WIFI ready with working space. Located in Germantown, we are 2 miles from the freeway for very easy access to anywhere you may need to go. Guest access via keypad with individualized code. Within a 15-minute drive, guests can enjoy year-round hiking in the Northern Kettle Moraine and Ice Age Trails, hiking/boating/swimming at nearby Pike Lake, venture out to our favorite Tiki Bar in summer, and in winter there is skiing/ tubing or snowboarding at Sunburst and Little Swiss Ski Hills, show-shoe adventures, and much more! We are 15 minutes from Holy Hill, 20 minutes from Erin Hills Golf Course, 30 minutes from Downtown Milwaukee for museums and festivals, 1 1/2 hours from EAA in Oshkosh, and 15 minutes from beautiful historic Cedarburg. Prior to arrival, we will send an access code to The Country Retreat and allow you privacy to enjoy your stay. Available: pack/play, high chair, kids picnic table The Country Retreat is located on a 10-acre organic hobby farm, and is a beautiful spot have your coffee or wine outside on your private deck, or picnic in the backyard off of your kitchen. The Retreat is an addition to our log home, which is completely private for our guests.
