Lynda's Suite: At Handerson House

Welcome to The Phineas Handerson House, originally built in 1827 by the “the happiest man in town” Able Wilder. Modern eclectic one-bedroom apartment, just one block from Central Square in Downtown Keene. Featuring newly remodeled kitchen, fitted with electric range and microwave. Other tenants occupy part of the building, but guests have a private entrance and off-street parking behind the building. Comfortable for two guests but can sleep up to four. Pet friendly! Staircase that ascends to the apartment is very steep. The sofa in the living room pulls out into a queen size bed. Full bath with shower and small tub. Wifi, internet, and basic cable are all provided. Kitchen is equipped with coffee maker, toaster, electric tea kettle, and utensils. The entire apartment and the laundry room is guest accessible. I live outside of Keene and am available to answer any questions through the Airbnb app. For breakfast try Timoleon’s or Lindy’s Diner. If looking for brunch on Saturday's and Sunday's head to Machina Kitchen and Art Bar. For a locally sourced and environmentally conscious meal, check out The Works Café or Country life. Best coffee in the county is at Prime Roast on Main Street. There is also an array of Asian and Mexican restaurants and fun bars like the 21 Bar and Grille, Lab n’ Lager, and Machina. Finally, if you enjoy fine local spirits, come visit us in Winchester at the New England Sweetwater Distillery. This apartment is within walking distance of Central Square Keene. Originally the maids quarters and has a very steep one story staircase. The outside of the house shows it's 160 year old age and needs some new paint. Steps/Stairs/Thresholds/Rugs This home has steps, stairs, thresholds and rugs. Please familiarize yourself with all of them and use caution during your stay so that you do not injure yourself. Cell Service/Internet Cell Service may be spotty, depending on your carrier. It is best to download your welcome message before you come to the home. The internet is provided by Spectrum is reliable except in severe weather conditions. Cleaning Fees Please understand that I believe in paying a living wage and fairly compensating my team. The team works hard to provide our guests with a clean and covid safe space to stay in. Pets Well behaved pets are welcome, but we do ask that you add them to your reservation as an extra child guest. There is an extra guest fee. Pets are not to be left unattended in the space unless placed in a guest provided crate or something similar. Long Term Stays(monthly) are welcome and automatically get a 30% discount. Expendables and Toiletries For stays longer then five days, guest will be expected to supply their own toilet paper, tissues, soap, shampoo, coffee, spices etc. Keys Please keep the key in the lock box whenever you leave the house. Lost keys are subject to a $50 key replacement fee. Items Left Behind Please remember to take all of your personal belongings including electronics with you upon checkout. We are not responsible for any items left behind under any circumstances and while we will use best efforts to get them back to you we offer no promises or guarantees. You will be charged the respective shipping fee for any items left behind in addition to $25 for our time in finding, packaging and shipping.
