Bedroom/living room apt, sleeps 3, (1 double and 1 twin bed), couch, kitchen, full bath, private porch in 1743 house. Gardens, hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, pub, store. Equestrian farm, rural area near cities/airport. Easy drive to Mountains, beaches, ocean, Pawtuckaway park, Canobie Lake, Boston, Manchester, Portsmouth, UNH. Near rec area, trails, swimming, covered bridge, playground, waterfall, Frost farm. Furnished, wifi. Happy to recommend fun spots. Game closet. Pets negotiable. This is an apartment inside of our 1743 home that we live in, it is about a quarter of the first floor of the house. We have dogs and cats who live in the house too. We are here if you need anything but we will not bother you and you are not likely to see us unless you want to. You have your own private entrance and screened in porch off our yard and gardens. The apartment has been newly painted in classic New England colors, beautiful wide pine floors have just been redone and unit is renovated. We will have light breakfast foods available in your kitchen, and upon request and additional cost we may cook for you. The kitchen is equipped with dishes, pot and pans, and everything you need to feel at home. Bring foods that delight you or shop in local stores for things you need. Four people can sleep here comfortably, so this is a great space for families or friends to share while having fun. It's also perfect for a couple to enjoy adventuring or relationship time. Writers who want a literary getaway may love the solitude and comfort we provide. We are near the Robert Frost Farm. People who are working in the area for a short term may find this a perfect home-away-from-home that is much nicer than being in a hotel. As a 1700s house, it has all the charms and quirks that are associated with colonial houses. It has been renovated to provide contemporary comforts, but if you're looking for ultra modern chic, this may not be the place for you. Guests have their own parking area and section of the yard. Children are welcome - there's lots to do here that will entertain them. Please note that we aren't set up for babies but love them, so that's something we should negotiate to make sure their needs are met. Well-behaved dogs are negotiable, for which there may be an additional charge. We will be around to greet and help you when you arrive. On occasion, if the moment works, we will enjoy good conversation with you over a cup of tea or a glass of wine. This is a mini-farm and there are kind animals on the property, which you should know if you are allergic to animals. Well-behaved dogs are welcome, a crate will be provided upon request. You are responsible for making sure your pets don't mess in the house or are unruly or destructive. For people who are traveling with a horse, a stall may be available upon request and additional charge. We want your stay to be peaceful and safe, so please know that no weapons or violence are allowed in our home or on the property. We are a Hate Has No Home Here establishment. There will be materials in your apartment on fun things to do in the area and we're happy to share our favorite secret spots with you! We are not a hotel. We value your privacy and will not plan to enter your apartment or clean it while you are here unless you request. We trust that you will leave the apartment tidy and in the same good condition that you found it when you arrived. Cleaning supplies are provided in the apartment for your use. Chester NH is a rural community with supposedly more horses than people in the town! Every October residents create wonderful scarecrows in their yards and people from far and wide come to town to view them. Come see ours and learn how they are made! It is a classic New England town with the corner store, cozy library, tiny post office, and great trails for the casual or serious hiker. Our town is within easy driving distance to everything you'd need, but has a quaint, quiet, sweet, calm lifestyle here that we adore. We think we have the best of all worlds here. You will need a car if you come to visit us. There is no public transportation here. However, in about a 20 minute drive you can catch a comfy bus into Boston or New York City, or you can catch the train into Boston or Portland on the Downeaster Line. COVID-19 is an international concern. If you are sick or have been exposed to the virus we respectfully ask that you find somewhere else to stay. We do not want to be put at risk, nor do we want others to be at risk. Therefore, while you are welcome to stay if invited, we ask that you do not have others on our property while the virus is still not under control. Because of the extreme clean-up and sanitation proceedures we will need to have, we can no longer do one night stays. People who are going to be here for multiple days will be given preference. We trust that you will understand our desire to keep a safe environment and will comply with our health requests if you stay here.
