Mama Sue's Tiny Guesthouse

Mama Sue’s is a converted 160 square foot red barn shed with a covered front porch overlooking the beautiful grounds of St. Charles College. We have a Murphy Queen-sized bed, shower, antique sink, small refrigerator and microwave and coffee maker. Walls, bed frame and trim are crafted of palette wood, creating a crafted rustic look. We are within walking distance to restaurants and gift shops. It’s in a historic, beautiful peaceful place where you can rest your mind and refresh your soul. Mama Sue's has high ceilings and a fully covered front porch. The Guesthouse features a roomy Murphy Queen-sized bed. Walls, and trim are mostly palette wood which makes for some interesting textures! A/C and heater are provided. We are located in historic Grand Coteau and host several festivals and events. The Sweet Dough Festival (late October) takes place directly across the street. We are also smack dab in the middle of the Grand Noel Festival (mid Nov) and the Exit 11 Yard sale as well as the new Grand Coteau Block party ((PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)). Access to Mama Sues Guesthouse is in a locked key box with a provided code so you can come in as late as you want. I like meeting guests as the arrive, explain how everything works, and making sure they have everything they need. If I’m not available, there’s a coded key box by the door so you can let yourself in. We are across the street from the historic Jesuit Spirituality Center at St. Charles College in Grand Coteau, Louisiana. The Jesuit Spirituality Center specializes in personally directed retreats based on the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola. Brents Big Hill Cafe is 2 blocks away with Daily Lunch Entrees and Friday night seafood buffet. For plate lunches and burgers there’s Couyon’s Seafood and More. There are also antique shops and gift shops all within walking distance. We are right on the north-south route of I-49. Mama Sue's is also located 11 miles north of I-10 and 9 miles south of Hwy 190 making it a great stop on your way east or west. I made up a binder of restaurants, stores and and all nearby attractions. Including our famous festivals!
