Need a relaxing getaway or just a break from the road? Come stay with us! This is a 2 bedroom apartment that is adjacent to our apartment. Our home was built in 1890. We do have a few projects that we are working on and there are some things that we haven't yet gotten to but none of projects will hinder your stay with us. We welcome everyone to our home and we will always try our best to accommodate any of the needs are guest may have. Staying with us will be just as comfy as home. Our place is a comfortable place to take a break. It's almost like going to stay with Grandma. We have everything you need and it's very spacious. Front porch and backyard area Our apartment is located right next door so we respond quickly! Airbnb messaging or texting is preferred. We plan to let you enjoy your time with us in privacy. You have free range of the front porch and back yard area. If we are in the backyard cooking or just hanging out, feel free to join us. The more the merrier! Any questions or request, no matter how tiny or huge, please ask! We will do our best to accommodate or answer any questions you may have. Our town This is a small town. We are located right off Hwy 95, 301 and 58. We have great local restaurants and pubs here and most are located within walking distance of our home. We have nice walking trails and a canoe ramp at the Meherrin River. We are located about 45 minutes from Lake Gaston, which is great for fishing, boating and swimming! We also have great thrift and antique stores! This is the kind of town where everyone knows just about everyone. It is peaceful. If you just want to relax, this is the place. We hope you enjoy your visit with us in Emporia! There are a few great restaurants and stores within walking distance. Everything else will be about a 5 minute car ride to anywhere you need to get to in Emporia We have indoor/outdoor cats. They are welcome to come in and out and if you'd like you are welcome to let them in your apartment to visit. Milton Muffins (huge black/white cat) he absolutely loves to visit with everyone. They are all friendly but don't care to be held just rubbed 😁 We have plenty of parking beside house. The master bedroom has a relaxing massage chair! We do have trains that come by throughout the day and night. Some are louder than others. I personally don't find them bothersome. On your departure, we handle all of the cleaning. We ask that you keep everything reasonably tidy and don't worry yourself with making bed or stripping sheets. Leave the door unlocked with the keys on the kitchen counter.
