Cowichan Bay B.C., above Cherry Point Marina

A private cabin we named Eagle Place with partial views of the bay and mountain. Queen size bedroom down stairs with a 40 inch TV. Queen size hide a bed on main level, has a 50 inch TV & Small/Full kitchen & bathroom with shower on the main flr. 5 minutes from the village of Cowichan bay, with local shops and plenty choices for dinning. We are 15 minutes from the town of Duncan and 35 minutes from Victoria and about 45 minutes from Nanaimo Duke point ferry. Come stay at our very peaceful, quite, cute and cosy almost 600 sq ft rural cabin above Cherry Point Marina. New large deck off the Kitchen with sliding door. Nice propane fireplace to keep you warm in the chilly fall and winter days and evenings but it is turned off in the warmer months. Netflix and cable TV, wifi. There is a barbecue on the deck for your use and a small kitchen to prepare meals. A Sunken bedroom (no door but down the stairs so still private), no onsuite, must climb stairs. Cherry point beach is only a 5 minute drive away on Garnet Rd. across from Cherry Point Winery. There are Kayak rentals or put your boat in just down the road in Cowichan Bay Government dock. Hiking is great, and there are many winerys close by to checkout as well. Genoa Bay and Maple Bay are about a 15-20 minute drive away. Great restaurants to enjoy with water views. . (We are not ocean front) there are trees so we have a partial view of the Bay and Mountain. NO SMOKING OF ANY KIND IN THE CABIN PLEASE, if you smoke outside please clean up. Thanks PLEASE READ FIRST BEFORE BOOKING: This is a self contained unit, there is no shared space. But we do live on the property below, not connected to the cabin, so if you have children or come in late, noise is not a issue. We are located in the beautiful Cowichan Bay near the ocean, we are about 10 minutes from Shawnigan Lake. Only suitable for 2 ADULTS and 2 CHILDREN. (ONE PET only please). Also please let us know if you are expecting overnight guests as there will be a extra 25.00 per night charge if more than 2 guests. Other things to note: If you disconnect the TV and plug in your own devices, please return it as it was before you leave for the next guest. Garbage and recycling are located at the top of the driveway, please no glass in the recycling or garbage, please leave it in the blue bin under the sink or in the bin up by the garbage mark glass only. Bottles and pop cans can be left in the blue bin located under the sink or bagged and left in the garage by the washer/dryer located thru the bedroom door. The Washer and Dryer available for use in the garage thru the bedroom door, no fee for this, laundry supplies provided. You will need a vehicle to get around as we are 15-20 minutes from Duncan and a 5 minute drive to the little village of Cowichan bay where some of the restaurants and stores are located, and a one minute walk down to Cherry Point marina and a small beach. Lots of free parking in the upper driveway for a truck and trailer/ boat. Please be aware the Kitchen and Bathroom are small with a small shower/bathroom only, located on the main level. Must climb stairs to/ from the sunken bedroom. We are available for anything during your stay as we live in the main house below the cabin. We like to give our guests privacy, so sometimes for short stays we may not meet, so unless you what to come down and say hi we leave our guest alone to enjoy. But if you require anything or run out of something we usually provide, please come to the back door through the garage and ring the bell or text us. I hope you enjoy our little Cabin. There are many winerys to visit and parks to see or hiking trails. You can just relax and walk through the village of Cowichan bay which is just a short drive away and enjoy the dinning and many local stores and the boat museum. The Village also has Whale watching you can book. The town of Duncan is a 15 minute drive away and also has many stores and dinning experiences to enjoy. There is a Saturday Market that runs all year long in Duncan from 10 am to 2pm. A vehicle would be necessary here to get around, there is a bus stop about a 25 minute walk away on Cowichan Bay Rd. Lots of Parking in upper driveway in front of the Cabin. Extra Cleaning precautions have been taken so our guests are safe and can enjoy their stay and enjoy. The Kitchen/bathroom are small but fully functional for your stay. There is also Netflix in the cabin for your enjoyment. This cabin is about 600 sq feet. If your stay consists of more than 2 people it may by cramped, but a beautiful new deck was built off the kitchen, with a BBQ for you to enjoy. You will need a vehicle to get around as we are 5 minutes drive from the hwy and there are no restaurants or a coffee shop walking distance. The village of Cowichan Bay is less than 5 minutes down the road that has some lovely places to eat and shop around or 15 minutes Drive to the town of Duncan.
