"Trails End" Lakeside Cottage in Small Town USA

Light filled cottage set lakeside on a dead end dirt road. Enjoy all the lake has to offer. Great views, swimming, hiking, boating, skiing, snowshoe, snowmobile,wildlife and fishing. Our 950 sqf cottage sits right on the waters edge of Lake Winnekeag in Ashburnham Ma. The cottage is set up as a studio type open layout. You enter into a mudroom which has a slider to the lake side of the home and enters into the kitchen area. The kitchen area and the living space is open with vaulted style ceiling. The living area flows out onto a sun porch overlooking the water. From the sun porch you can walk directly onto the deck hanging over the waters edge. The one bathroom has been fully remodeled with a large stand up shower. The Bedroom is separated from the living area by an 8' wall. A King size bed is located at one end of the room and Bunkbeds at the other end. Minutes to near by Wachusett Mountain for Alpine Skiing, Snowboarding, Hiking and Weekend Events. Snowshoe right out the door on the lake and trails or take a two minute ride to Watatic mountain and the Midstate Trail. Launch your own boat from the on site boat ramp. Snowmobile on the lake and the surrounding single track trails or trailer them 15 minutes into NH and ride the NH trail system. The property close to Fitchburg State University and Cushing Academy. Depending on the season we are at times on the property in our other cottage located next door. We will always be available by phone when you stay. Quiet dead end dirt road. We only have two direct neighbors on the property, but remember being on the lake sound travels and at times can be heard from a long distance. We have had the same neighbors for 30+ years, please respect them and they will do the same. The town of Ashburnham has the basic necessities which is a short five minute ride. Major big box stores are approximately a 20-30 minute ride We have parking for approximately four cars on the property. The closest Train station is in Fitchburg or Gardner.
