Our Studio

Welcome to Big Lake/Monticello! Our one bedroom studio is fully equipped for your stay. Private screen porch, separate, private entrance, full kitchen and bath. Ample parking. We provide a few light breakfast items such as coffee, juice, milk, muffins, bagels, and fruit. We will re-supply coffee, tea, bottled water. 40 minutes from Minneapolis, St. Paul. 2 hours from Duluth. An acre of property, private entrance, deck, kitchen, living and full bathroom. WI-FI, DVD player, fire pit, and pond. As of 1/1/21 No pets allowed. Standard queen size sleeps two. (6'x 5.5') We have a portable crib or an inflatable mattress for an extra guest or small child. It's quiet, cozy and very much like home. Private studio. Separate entrance. Full kitchen and full bath, private screen porch, with grill, fire pit, ample parking; garage available for extra $5/day. If you’re bringing more than one vehicle, I charge $12/day. Lush gardens. Enjoy late nights (bug free) and morning coffee at sunrise. We are happy to offer suggestions for your stay in the region. Sightseeing ideas, day trips, or local restaurants etc. or just enjoy the peace and quiet on your screened in porch. We live in the adjoining home, but guarantee your privacy if that’s what you need. Quiet private oasis in a country setting. It is best suited for two adults. I have a portable crib, single and queen portable mattress as well. As of 1/1/21, no pets allowed. No exceptions. The Northstar Rail is 5 minutes away to take you to the Minnesota Twins, St. Paul Saints, Excel Energy center, Target Center, downtown shopping and Bank stadium.The Mall of America is 1 hour from the studio. Along the way are very quaint small towns with local flavor as well. (Antiques, river life, parks, and local entertainment) (All times are approximate, depending on traffic and weather conditions) Winters here are spectacular. Parks, skiing, hiking and all things nature are just minutes away. Spring and summer are Midwest perfect. Warm days, cool nights. By far, the Minnesota Fall is the best. Leaves turning, the smell of neighborhood fires....crisp mornings and evenings.
