Walk a few blocks uptown to many restaurants, charming boutiques, coffee shops, art galleries, and four local breweries. Located less than 4 miles from Longwood Gardens. Kennett Square is home to the world-renowned Longwood Gardens, Talulas Table, The Kennett Flash, The Kennett Run, The Mushroom Festival, Kennett Brewfest, Willowdale Steeplechase, The Lights Festival, and four breweries. There are free summer concerts every Wednesday @ Anson B. Nixon Park, nearby museums (Winterthur and Brandywine River Museum), antique stores, wineries, apple-picking orchards, canoeing on the Brandywine River and polo matches at The Brandywine Polo Club of Chester County. There are many unique boutiques and restaurants, as well as the Farmer's Market located at The Creamery on Fridays from 3:00-7:00 pm, First Fridays (restaurants & shops stay open late 1st Friday of the month) and Third Thursday (downtown streets are closed off, restaurants bring tables/chairs out to the street for alfresco dining). Kennett Square is an extremely walkable town with a historic district of one square mile located in the center. You will be able to walk a few blocks to many destinations nearby.
