Escape to our beautiful, lakefront cabin in Highland Lakes, NJ. Only one hour from NYC, our home has everything you need for a romantic weekend or fun, friend's getaway. This original 1950s cabin boasts an indoor fireplace, outdoor fire pit, grill, direct lake access with a private dock, kayaks/canoe and spectacular views of East Highland Lake. The cabin also has: huge projector screen TV for movie nights, great stereo system, darts, foosball and so much more! Our cabin is made for a good time! We have a care taker in the area should any immediate needs arise. Beautiful and quiet neighborhood. 5 minutes to Wawayanda State Park with hiking and mountain bike trails. 12 minutes from Mountain Creek Resort and Chrystal Springs with skiing in winter and water park, golfing in summer. 15 minute from Warwick, NY with restaurants, antique shops, Pennings Cidery, wineries and a drive-in movie theater! Nearby Appalachian and Rails to Trails network. Car is best to get around but we are 15 minutes from NJ transit Newfoundland bus stop (Route 23 & Ride at Kanouse Rd). Can also take bus to Warwick, NY (15 mins from house). Bus from Port Authority is surprisingly easy/pleasant, just make sure you have someone to pick you up! Our 3rd bedroom (with double bunk beds) is accessible through the basement or outdoor patio and does not have a bathroom attached. The basement entrance also has a low ceiling so watch your head! There are semi-steep steps down to the lake. There are so many games you may be overwhelmed. Unfortunately, we no longer allow pets.
